  1. Ive cleared 3 Ultimates on Console AND i'm on the Last Phase of current Ultimate so no Addons arent needed like other ppl wanna make us believe. The Freedom you have to customize your UI are incredible. It took me so much Hours of hard work and Testing but now i think i'm fully satisfied how i arranged it. But there are still things i would argue there not Perfect. When i Play a Healer i would love to see a Timer how long regen/Shields…etc are on my Party without targeting the specific Party Member. I know this is possible with an Addon.

    Also as a DPS i dont care for my Partylist so a "simpler" Overall List would be so cool and it is already in the Game. I want a Simple View like you have in the other Alliance Groups just as normal Party List. A Box which simple shows me the current life, range for like Heals, maybe an icon for Debuffs i could dispell and thats all i want. I know WoW had exact that Addon back then when ive played it and it was amazing.

    I also use a seperate bar with big Icons for Cooldown Management but i want the Cooldown number BIG in the icon. Or something like it gets way bigger when you have 10 seconds left on the Timer. That would be Amazing and i know this is also possible with an Addon.

    Since they announced to watch some of the Addon Features i really hope the bring something for better QoL Features.

  2. For me as a Veteran Player in FFXIV there is no Problem with the current UI. I see my CD's pretty well, i know how to Slidecast even when i'm not a Caster Main, i don't need Callouts, i make them for my group, i don't need chat bubbles etc. I've cleared everything there is to clear besides the new Ultimate, without help of any 3rd Party Tools.
    I'm also always Purple/Orange/Pink without tryharding.

    That doesn't mean the Interface couldn't be better btw. But as it is right now, it gives you all you need to clear.

  3. The dialog box question asked at 24:36, the answer is sadly no, there isn't. I've looked, a lot. That specific box caused me a bit of grief in a couple of trials (Diamond specifically comes to mind), because it was DIRECTLY in the way of seeing the visual telegraphs from the boss for a couple of his mechanics because of how I tend to keep my camera. I ended up having to reposition it so I could see parts of the boss above or below it instead. They've even updated that box, giving it fancy npc images for when they're talking, which is nice and all. But you still can't MOVE it out of the way! Or resize it, or anything. They really need to change that.

  4. I've been playing FF for 8 yrs so I did not need this, but I'm super glad that you did this. So many people need to see it. So many new players, & FFXIV doesn't really walk you through what you can do with the UI, & that is on FF but it is super versatile

  5. The only thing i have ever used for any sort of change is a hex editor in order to make tails invisible to me. I think all the tails in the game are gross when they clip through everything. I dont change my ui with any external programs because ffxiv is fine as it is for me. I dont use act because I only care if my skill is good enough to win and the best way for me to find that out is to see whether or not we get the duty complete at the end. Sure some of the color symbols could use work but i more or less just find a way to make it work. Sure ffxiv has its issues but I do not need addons to enjoy the game. Yeah i dont play super high end content but its not because i cant, I just dont find that content to be very enticing to me.

  6. I have a few questions Chris.
    1. Is there a way to increase the number on the button cool down? Mines like a centimeter by centimeter. Playing Ast and having so many cds can get a little exhausting trying to mentally track because its hard to read. Nvm. Got my answer around 15 minutes in. 😁

    2. Whats the option that let you change the clock? I've wanted that for forever so I can miss less time nodes.

    3. Is there a way to move the bosses chat box away from their health bar? I can either see the bosses health or them yacking about a mechanic. I probably did this somehow.

    4. How do you move? Mouse only? You use w as a button instead. Arrow keys?

    Good vid Chris. A random question but I've seen you stream GW2 before. How are you enjoying the new expac? I started it a little before Ew launched and I was amazed at how much you could earn through gameplay(like the entire game).
