  1. As you progress through the game, you'll eventually get to a place where you can unlock the Glamour Dresser. That will let you store armor whose appearance you want to keep. It's a little while down the road.

  2. Partners in Crime 😭remember that.
Also! Love the art, seen it on the community tab before, it'll serve as a nice reminder of the start of your journey a fond memory you'll be able to look at a ~year down the line, when everything was new and fresh. I feel like if you could summon more than one minion, you'd have an army following you!
Some minons interact with eachother, it's rare tho. There's a cat and a dog minion you can get both of these very early in the game, those have an interaction. The various flying moogle minions have an interaction with eachother and I can think of one more from the top of my head and nothing else.
You already know /beckon, try /handover next.

  3. You should be able to unlock other jobs once you finish the level 10 quest at the archer's guild, I believe. Botanist goes great with culinarian too, since you can gather vegetables for you meals!

  4. In the beggining, what you pointed at the top left it's like the chapter of your story. It shows the Main Scenario Quest you are currently on( and if you click on it it shows where it is) and below that is your job quest( archer, lancer, etc)

  5. I’m proud you haven’t yet become overwhelmed as the start of the game is stressful.

If you focus the MSQ you’ll reach a quest called here be pirates and it will be your first official dungeon and it’s lvl 15. So don’t threat at all.

    Your killing it

  6. If you continue Main scenario you will unlock retainers; retainers are npcs that you can use to store items, weapons, armour and have them sell things on the marketboard on your behalf

  7. Also as you acquire more armour from dungeons and quests if you click the icon above your character (looks like a glowing man with a shield etc) it will automatically equip the best gear you have stat wise

  8. About storing items/gear (sorry long comment :'). There is a some stuff you haven't opened yet, but i believe you will soon have access for all of these.

Your Inventory can hold 140 items/stacks
    + key items
    + crystals

Your Armoury Chest goes with you like your inventory. Best place to store gear items you use for your jobs/classes you play atm. Meaning stuff you wear for stats. It can hold following:
    50 main hand weapons/tools
35 off hand, head, body, hand, leg, foot, ear, neck, wrist items (each)
    50 rings
+ soul crystals goes armoury chest also

Your Retainer (NPC characters, who do stuff for you) has inventory that can hold 175 items/stacks. You can have two retainers or more if you pay real money (monthly sub). For example their inventories are good place to store food, crafting materials, materia, tokens.. stuff you want to save for later.

Armoire in your inn room can hold all seasonal gear items (christmas, halloween etc..)

Glamour Dresser in your inn room can hold 800 gear items. It's best place to store items for glamour purposes. I'm meaning those nice looking lvl. 1 gear items without any stats or gear items you like but which are too low lvl already to use.

Then your companion chocobo will have Saddlebag. It's kinda extra inventory for your character with 70 slots to store items/stacks. I keep my fishing tackles there.. 😀

Housing items can be stored in your estate/apartment/FC room but that is whole other story.. lets not go there.

Free Company (guild) has also shared Company Chest.. but lets not go there either.. 😀 but it's good to know there is one.

There is lots of space to store your stuff! It takes just little time to open all (gated behind msq quests) and of course game will explains this all for you when time comes.

    Thanks for your video! ^^

  9. You had exactly the right idea for what to do with those wearable items! Wearable items like the ones you received that have no stats and are 'level 1' are made specifically for 'glamour' (transmog for WoW!). For those you'll generally want to put them into the glamour dresser. In every starting city at the Adventurer's Guild, you can find an innkeeper who will let you go into your room where you can access the dresser (the armoire can carry lots of those collectors edition items you received. Like the 'Chicken Knife' sword. The inn in Gridania is in the building with Mother Miounne! As you progress in the MSQ you'll get to a city with some side quests that let you use glamour prisms (for transmog). Side quests that unlock game functions will have a blue icon above the npc, instead of yellow

  10. Aaa I enjoy your videos so much! <3
About item storage: further into the game you'll be able to unlock retainers and you can store anything you want in them. With the retainers you'll also be able to sell stuff you don't want in the Market Board!

  11. Right now, you just have your inventory. Later on, you will get retainers that will have inventory space and you'll also get access to a glamour dresser. Some items can be stored in the Armoire in the inn, but it's mainly going to be the sub rewards, seasonal gear items (like the gear from the Heavensturn event currently going on), gear from the Collector's Editions (like the helm and the scythe, for example), and a few other things.

  12. The thing in the upper left just tells you the current MSQ quest you are up to (in your case, up to Bentbranch). It also shows your next class quest (in this case it was showing A Matter of Perspective, which you were in the middle of). Once you complete and turn in your level 10 Archer quest, you can pick up the Botanist quest.

  13. When the NPC talked about a dungeon in the previous video, it was meant in the literal sense. It meant a jail, with cells to keep people detained, similar to what they did in the middle ages several centuries ago.

Also, in the Qiqirn description when they are referred to as a "nuisance" and you didn't know the word, it means that they are an annoyance to deal with. For example, things like mosquitos, spiders, rats, etc, are often considered as nuisances. They aren't ruining anybody's life but the vast majority of people very much dislike having to deal with them. In the game lore, Qiqirns are said to consume a lot of food and they will eat anything. That makes them an annoyance/nuisance to farmers that grow vegetables who have to deal with them constantly, for example. (Qiqirns are basically very big, intelligent rats.)

  14. Apparently I can't send you a friend request because I can only visit servers in the Japanese Data Centers… I had crafted a minion for you and everything… 😢I'll keep the little fella safe until such a time when you two can be introduced to each other tho. ^^b

  15. Enjoying seeing the community develop in your ffxiv journey.

As noted in other comments, you need to finish the Archer's level 10 job quest to access other classes.

Other jobs classes and features will be able to be unlocked (the symbol will be dark blue with the plus sign).
