  1. For tanks would it help to do skill speed on the PLD and GNB weapons so the shared armor set with DRK and WAR doesn't need as much skill speed?

Thanks for the guide Despi. Helps with gearing and what to meld. Screw Det go C/D-hit (except healers). Casters go slow for universal set. Or become Sonic the Summoning Black Hedgehog. R/M-Dps go slow (except SAM and MNK). NIN is speed incarnate already, MNK needs materia to become it.
I did expect MCH to benefit from skill speed. But maybe cause Overheat is very fast already, higher skill speed will become a detriment?

  2. The gap between det/dh is very small but still there. I've never seen det recommend over dh because the boost to healing is so small that the consensus is it's better to have more dmg overall than less damage and a tiny healing boost that won't save anyone.

The only situation where det might be more viable is progging but even then dps checks are so tight atm that dh still remains more valuable.

  4. Quick question cuz I'm a little confused about the White mage part when I lower my spell speed on my white mage to 700 my Medica two and my Regen we're healing about three to 6,000 when I increase my spell speed to 1200 Medica two and Regen healing for 10 to 15,000 I did have a few pieces of higher level gear but I don't think that made that much of a difference or am I wrong

  5. As a tank for 9 years, you can avoid tenacity based on the skill of your healer. There are times when melding it can boost healer dps because you’re noticeably easier to heal than the other tank in the raid when MTing. Since tenacity was first introduced I’ve tinkered with it without saying anything more than asking “how hard was I to heal” to find shock and awe, that I was the easiest tank they’d healed in high end content. If you’re pugging, and you have an extra set of crafted gear try it. Overall personal testing over taking regurgitated advice is always best.

I personally wish determination would be totally disabled for tanks allowing tenacity to take its place making it easier for the masses to meld and gear.
