  1. I remember watching the warrior guides when I stared playing in ARR and keep the aggressive mindset ever since, been recommending all these tanking guides to my wow friends who have come over.

  2. war skill cap imho is higher than the other tanks, agreed, not only on defense but offense as well. good basics for people who get into the game/tanking/looking at war, keep em up xeno man.

  3. After the first e8s buster I'd complain whenever my healers healed me as I could get back to 100% every pull using my own stuff before light rampant <3 WAR is too good defensively

  4. preach 👏
the best thing about Warrior is, I almost never feel helpless in a fight.
It's really hard to die as a Warrior and that double holmgang, is the icing on the cake.

  5. One thing that I'm curious and need to test is: Do Thrill buffs shields from healers?
SCH and AST shields are straight up based on the amount healed, but WHM is based on the healing potency without the heal effect.

  6. I disagree with the skillcap is higher argument with nascent flash. Take leviathan unreal as an example. All the other 3 tanks need to prepop a cd before dreadwater (or whatever the head's tank buster is called) which has no cast time and you need to know exactly when he's going to use it and know the fight, whereas warrior can use nascent AFTER the hit and recover with ease (with equilibrium on top of that), so the skill floor is way lower in that regard.

  7. your fake webcam box covers tooltips when you're trying to explain the skills. Can you edit the tooltips to appear when discussing them or remove the webcam box?

  8. WAR is amazing, I remember during TEA i switch from GNB to WAR because our dps is beyond good but i always died to auto on BJ/CC because healer struggle to heal
and since i never really play WAR on high end content, im just amaze with WAR self sustain
I pop IR,Thrill and nascent and my HP never drop. equilibrium also fantastic

  9. Dunno if chat pointed it out and was just not shown, but since the HP is so low on the dummy, you aren't getting the full HP from Flash because the dummy doesn't have enough to "lifesteal." So Inner Chaos would have given more as would have the simple combo. Obviously not saying what you said was wrong, just that numbers shown were a touch off and the difference is more massive. Like an Inner Chaos (35k) and 2 Fell Cleaves (2 x 23k) under Inner Release with Upheaval (19k) net me a little under 100k HP on a level 80 dummy, while a simple 1-2-3 combo only gave me about 25k HP with some crits being counted. On a side note, glad you didn't purely bash on Clemency, some people underestimate how great it can be for emergencies and prog, or even during downtime. Still won't touch that shit when I'm parsin' though, lmao

I'm not the best ffxiv player so maybe my assumptions are not correct, but basically what he means:

    Thrill :20% Eff. HP
    Thrill :16.67% Mitigation
    Rampart :20% Mitigation
    Rampart :25% Eff. HP

Explanation (numbers are dumbed down to make it more clear):

    Tank HP: 100
    Enemy attack: 100 damage

    Using Rampart:
    Enemy now hits for 80 damage, because you mitigate 20 damage (100 * 80% = 80).
To kill you it would need to hit for 25% more damage (125 * 80% = 100). 25% is the effective HP you get from Rampart.

    Using Thrill:
Enemy still hits for 100 damage, because you only get effective HP.
You now have 120 HP. To kill you it would need to do 20% more damage.
    You mitigate 16.666..% damage, because 120 HP x 83.333..% = 100 HP

This is of course only a 1 to 1 comparison in a vacuum, but I was just trying to get his point across.
