Get to the objective then go back to collect the cactos. Oh… my… god… Why am I only getting this knowledge now. 🤦♀️ Because I avoid leap of faith whenever I can. 😅 Thank you!! 👍❤️
you can also cheese a lot of the jumps if you don’t use legacy movement, as the slower backwards strafe allows you do quickly chain short distance jumps, absolutely blazing though certain segments
Hi Jolsn, as an extension of this short video, I would like to provide you with the JUMP MACRO. Which allows you to execute short jump, mid jump, long jump by pressing a single button. This skips gauging running distance and jump timings and is automated for you through macro. I found these macros in a japanese ff14 video, the title of the video is "FF14 マクロで登る紅蓮祭アスレチック2022"
And heres an example of the macro in English:
/automove on
/gaction Jump

/automove off
Just follow the video and copy them, but replace the japanese Jump with the English Jump.
NOTE: the long jump macro has a FLAW that it takes *one extra step forward* right after landing. This can be halted by manually pressing a movement button (such as turning in mid-air) to interrupt the macro.
Out of all of the MMOs with jumping puzzles I have played, FFxiv and ESO have the worst jump physics.
I had no idea you could touch the goal and double back!
This video needs thousands and thousands of views. Period.

I'm a master at leap of faith now!
