just like WoW, FF14 has boring gameplay outdated, TAB TARGETTING with bloated 4555523552 skills rotation for robots trash,, but at least FF14 have interesting fights

I think it was a good choice to make really stand out weapons for real achievements like relic grinds or ultimate fights. It makes it a clear status symbol something WoW's lost since they are too big of fans of low effort recolors which makes the distinction less obvious since normal, RF, heroic, and mythic all drop the same looking armor just different color schemes which leaves the best looking one to your personal aesthetics since normal could appeal more therefore you only do normal. FFXIV they're completely unique with very flashy effects with no copy of it in game even in a different color, so its a very definitive icon of you accomplishing something that takes time or both time and coordination.
I was pretty underwhelmed by the weapons
The DRK is the only must have in my opinion
PLD, NIN, SAM, BLM, SMN, RDM and AST are "ok"
WAR, DRG, GNB, MCH, WHM, SCH, SGE are easy passes
I recognize ultimate weapons as prestige weapons, but I personally dont like any of them (of any ultimate) because I feel like they are all way too overdesigned. 😛

I think the ultimate weapons look much better without the particle effects, or maybe if they were toned down to about half
Watching Asmon react to FFXIV like this is so nostalgic to me. Takes me back to around the same time last year, when everything was new to him and he seemed to be enjoying discovering the game.
