  1. This is no way hateful towards the ffxiv I’m glad your all having fun. But why is this the most popular mmo atm. I’ve been playing ti for sometime and researching and it just hasn’t been fun for me and with what I’ve found I just don’t know why it’s beating other mmos like ESO or GW2.

-zones are small and instanced and not a real open world with loading screens between each zone

    – classes and jobs have no customisation or build options so you will play exactly the same as the other dragoon

    – PVP is crap

    – stats barely matter unless ur playing at the absolute high end so there’s no sense of real character progression or power fantasy

    – The levelling at the beginning of the game is super boring and monotenis (I know it gets better later on)

    – slow paced combat with unflavourful abilities (compared to abilities in other mmos that feel fun and unique to use)

    – a giant cash shop which sells u tonnes of transmog which u can’t get any other way but paying

All I can think of for positives is story and glamour. But that isn’t enough to make me want to commit time to the game. Clicking endlessly through silent dialogue boxes and listening to the occasional voices cutscene just isn’t that fun for me.

So give me your opinions why do you like ffxiv?

  3. That dude says everything 3 times. After he introduces everything 3 times. And then he repeats it again, as if in summary, thrice. I imagine he's a proficient expository writer, but he's consistently condescending to his audience. Not just because of his repetitious repetition, but because he expounds excessively on the simple and the obvious, like a poorly crafted Motivational Speaker bot; such as with his inane lecture about managed expectations with respect to Ashes of Creation – a principle everyone past puberty fully understands, except for a population of cognitive misfits who he isn't going to magically change with his patronizing patter.

  4. To be fair to kids these days, I think "being a Youtuber" is just the current iteration of "being a Rockstar". Everyone knows it's highly unlikely to happen no matter how long you practice on that guitar.

  5. That thing about the audience is why my favorite Twitch streamer plays a mobile game. He's highly entertaining, and it's partly because he can spare the attention to BE entertaining. Someone like Asmongold who can play an intense game and still be entertaining is a god.

  6. In China they want to be a scientist because the results were scrubbed. Just saying. You think President Xi would want anything but to appear on the world stage? Nah. His skin is thinner than rice paper.
