Blizzard: company has lawsuits, work culture was full of sexual perverts, ignores playerbase and game sends many people away.
Asmon: continues to play WoW after "criticizing" it and throws thousands of dollars towards Diablo Immortal.
FFXIV: Devs do sitdown interviews with Asmon, personally send their well wishes to Asmon and his mom during a very hard time for him, listen directly to his suggestions and those of the community with good intent, possibly name a new NPC after him.
Asmon: has nothing to do with the game anymore
The sheer reach of "Osmon" being Asmongold's "own NPC" is actually ridiculous. It would make sense if they made a character that either looked like his character, looked like Zach himself or at the very least acted like him. But Osmon does none of that, and doesn't look like Asmon, nor his character. It's like people don't realize how game development works and that they didn't already have this planned out LONG before any of the interviews happened last year. It's not like they had the interview, Zach asked about more solo/lower player count content and then proceeded to shit it out from the ground up right after the interview. There's a lot of new assets in these dungeons, this was planned long before anybody even mentioned it to them in an interview.
