  1. "missed"? It's really hard to miss doing anything in this game. lol You just gotta WANT to do it. It's all there waiting for you, whenever you feel like doing it. The only exceptions being timed content like the Garo thing(which is coming back soon), FFXV crossover stuff, etc.

  2. There is alot of content when you actually dive in. As much as he thinks he played FF14, he barely got started with so many things. I think it's why I get so confused that he seems to prioritize so many other games when he never completed his deep dive in this one. If he ever takes the time, I think he'ss enjoy it. I just am not holding my breath that he will.

  3. I get where my dude is coming from with not being into FFXIV. Coming from more traditional MMOs, it's gonna be hard to start out and look at everything you can't do because of MSQ gating, especially so if you're a WoW player. Even when you finish MSQ, there's so much that you can miss out on because you don't know to look for it. I couldn't tell you how many people I have known over the years that would have capped jobs and not know that treasure maps were a thing, and even more so knew that they existed but never tried them.

It's hard to want to play FF on stream when everybody is telling you what to do, malding over no-context spoilers, and stirring up game tribalism. And honestly, tanks are fucking boring to level so what little gameplay you DO get in MSQ, it's not engaging. I feel like Asmon is a bit too interested in his chat. It's important to engage, as that's what differentiates a decent streamer from a GOAT streamer. But any time you play an MMO on stream there's always going to be morons malding that you're not playing their game, or if you are, that you're not playing it right. His reactions to chat tards feed into their behavior and it just snowballs.

He's arguably the best in the biz, so my take means jack, but I hope he's able to find a new "home MMO" that doesn't make him miserable instead of going back to WoW just because it's comfy when it has little to nothing to offer. I'll watch him regardless of what he plays but when he's excited and happy he's the most fun to watch.

  4. I mean i guess the main problem that he didn't have any motivation to play ff14 rn becouse he feel like forced to play the game by people, if we leave him alone honestly he might comeback by himself

  5. Surprised he never knew about it. I personally refuse to do any crafting whatsoever because I will not spend my free time doing the equivalent of working another job in a video game. That said, maps are the best way for me to make money by selling my rare drops on the market board

  6. FF fans will sit through 6 hours of react content and 3 hours of honing in lost ark just to get these little Copium clips.

Guys don’t worry hes gonna come back just like a Summit will. 👍

  7. Honestly, Asmon's timing with FF was just unfortunate.

He was playing it and enjoying it, but then unfortunately, his mom passed away and he took a hiatus.

For a while, he played the game almost CONSTANTLY on his off-stream… Which resulted in him getting burned out, because he could only play like 20% of the available content in the game.

He's formed extremely resolute opinions on the game based on content, visuals, and gameplay from Heavensward. Heavensward is GOOD, yes, but I feel the game really starts to get good from a mechanical and visual standpoint in Stormblood. Unfortunately, his hiatus happened just as he reached Stormblood, so he never got to experience that content.

By the time he got back, he was burned out, and a bunch of other games came out that he decided to focus on, namely, Lost Ark.

Hopefully, one day, Asmon will come back and we'll see his reactions to all the content the game has to offer, but until then we can wait. This video alone is proof he has interest in the content he hasn't yet seen.

  8. As someone who only plays XIV myself these days, as well as someone who strictly believes Asmongold didn't scratch the surface of fun that's the actual game, I would like for him to continue to make content on games he enjoys and only return to XIV when ready.

Keep pushing great content man. I am watching regardless. Love your Elden Ring run. I don't watch live on twitch but I am checking that playlist. 🙂
