  2. Honestly the starting of FFXIV is part of the reason I stopped playing around 15 hours in. You're on the cart, NPCs you don't care about are yacking at you, all you want to do is go out and stab something, finally some mobs are attacking, great you think, time for some combat! Nope. You sit your ass in the cart and watch some NPCs fight some Mobs.

    This continues for ages, then you deal with the terrible UI, tons of NPCs telling you stuff you don't care about because you haven't spent enough time in the world to start caring. This continues for ages.

    Don't get me wrong, it's wonderful that people like the game, and I've been told (over and over and over and fucking over again) that the game gets better, but honestly? I don't care. I spent 15 hours, or slightly more, and still wasn't having fun. So I closed the game, booted up ESO and went back to having fun.

  3. ​@UC24GYWiGIIbs-RMIQTObs0Q I honestly found the controls and UI settings to be fairly intuitive. I was modifying my UI before I completed the first 10 quests. My only issues have been with the Leves and the differences between Jobs vs your class role. Then there are the Grand Companies. I want to get started on obtaining a mount and that is not explained at all in the game. Now that I am at level 20 I am finding myself going to the forums more and more. They do not explain those parts very well at all even though they show you how most other basics work in an over explanitive way. All in All I like FFXIV I have been Playing Wow for 16+ years and at this time that game is sadly dead to me

  4. I tried to play FF but that video shows why I couldn't deal with it. I didn't like the way it plays and it was all overwhelming. I mean, customizing my toon was too much. Trying to figure out what the heck my class was based on…I think there were questions or something at the beginning??? Anyway, I hated it, got through it, played a couple of hours and said, nope. I went back to the very simple game that is WoW. 😛
