  1. I hate that I can’t love this theme. I was really hoping for a straight forward orchestral rock version, but the overly mixed techno approach makes it feel like too many things are happening. It’s like if Skrillex got to make an FF boss theme, and it’s just not a genre I like listening to.

  2. And with this fight, my journey in ffxiv is over. Im glad that in 5 years i got to witness before my very eyes ff4 content in ffxiv. Thank you so much Yoshi P and everyone at SE for making this possible. I hope everyone enjoys the expansions to come.

  3. 0:57 Now I know of course it's not the same gameseries so its unlikely to be a deliberate reference or homage, but… The moment this hit? I was back fighting Lavos in Chrono Trigger again.
If Zeromus would've had 'the screech' I would've gone insane. ♥

  4. I have heard many versions of Zeromus…I dunno. This goes hard but not as hard as Black Mages. And I still think this theme is MUCH more epic and grander, and better, when orchestrated. Fight me.

It’s good on its own. But compare to its original and orchestrated versions it’s a bit of a let down.

  5. This honestly sounded like music you would hear during a boss fight in Metroid, heck the whole boss looked like something out of that series to me, and it made me love the heck out of it. Like some giant Space Pirate that got horribly mutated and blown up from some experiment gone horrifically wrong, or right, knowing how those Space lunatics think, lol. But yeah, amazing fight, a banger of a soundtrack. A tier battle as always.

  6. Final Fantasy 4 (2 in USA) was my absolute favorite. the whole Endwalker post MSQ story line has been so much fun for me. I was excited for this theme and the fight didn't disappoint either.

  7. This is what Dancing Mad pt 4 should have been like. almost feel like this is an apology of sorts for that remix being a bit hollow (not that we'd ever be upset Soken!) Either way I love how this theme turned out. it's frantic, chaotic, and oppressive just as it should be. Not every remix has to be a big orchestral movement at all times. Not that I'd ever be upset with the orchestral pieces.
