Zenos is a fucking chad! Such an awesome enemy to just fight against.
Zenos is hard to relate to. He's a person who yearns to feel again. Kind of like a royal prince who has been pampered all his life. He goes to any length to get his high. Because of this reason, FF14 community either gets him or don't. And I think that's a cool thing in itself.

People tend to shit on Stormblood for not being on par with HW, but the expansion overall sets up some pretty spectacular villains and has some story arcs that go all the way to the end of Shadowbringers. Personally I loved it, but maybe that's my inner weeb being giddy by all the eastern aesthetics.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Zenos is my preferred kind of villain. He has no redeeming qualities beyond his obsession. There's no sympathy angle, no explanation for his evil. He is simply a murdering bastard that has to be stopped.

I personally have trouble carrying or relating to Zenos because up until this point they have done a very good job in making all important antagonists well motivated and aware of the world. Meanwhile… He just wants to fight. He fucks up the lives of thousands, killing quite a few personally, perky because he's bored. He'd make an amazing secondary villain, but when it comes to carrying the role of evil solo… He just falls short.
