  1. You mean that freaking WHM LB BEAM is CONAL?
    Who the heck thought of that LOL

    I'm excited to use BLM in CC now though, it was kinda weird Superflare wasn't going through walls, at first. It did seem to make that impression to me.

  2. Decrease in CC and bugfixing is so good. Currently if you don't play WM or WAR, crystalline conflict is a roulette does my team has the duo / does the enemy team has them. I found that some of most fun games I had were games with no tanks and healers. Can't wait for the patch.

  3. The MCH change the bio blaster cannot proc wildfire more then once is a major change that completely changes MCH one shot combo. Idk why they nerfed it? The only time a MCH can win a 1V1 now is with LB

  4. The Resolved Issues section addressed many of the PVP bugs.

    Notable fixes are:
    Infinite Cure II, Polymorph on Mesotes, Wildfire, BRD walk, Guard no damage taken, Kardia removal on KO, etc.

    Otherwise, I’m excited to try some of these classes with their PVP changes.

  5. they could give MNK some sort of downtime action like Form Shift. it works like the old monk Form Shift, where it ups one form by each use. But in pvp, say your combo gets dropped if you dont attack for 5 seconds, so Form Shift has a cooldown of 6s, to prevent just form shifting until Phantom Rush, so it just helps during downtime

  6. As someone who mains a Samurai in both PvE and PvP, it'll be interesting to see how they feel now. I've only started getting used to how Samurai plays in CC and started getting decent results, so will see how much this changes how I play

  7. I thought I was the only one with a sound bug, It got so bad to the point where I just manually disabled the sound so I could play my own music and not be thrown off mid game because of it :/

I love how fast they came out with these changes, it reminds me of people from Fortnite saying that the way the devs deal with OP metas is by updating the game consistently and moving all the other underwhelming options to match the "meta" keeping everyone from just using that one option and nothing else

    My respect for the FFXIV devs just skyrocketed, coming from WoW, where druids had a 1 button nuke that was never nerfed and they never really cared about truly balancing pvp

  9. Red mage is strong. I stun harass them any time I can to make them feel super welcome when contesting the crystal.

    "Get outta here red mage. Before I fell cleave you to death." is something I find myself muttering alot.

  10. The buff to Enlightenment is JUST nice: 12k + 12k + 12k potency if you set it properly, and most jobs won't surive if they were knocked down to below half HP. And for those people throwing up emergency Guard at low HP, 24k is still going through. Makes it less burdensome to quickly snipe a high value target during a big brawl.

    IMO MNK needed just 1 more buff and that's to double or triple the AoE size of Earth's Reply because targets run out of range very easily, and Riddle of Earth is such a great tool for catching people off guard.

  11. Exactly as I suspected. The problem with red-mage was never the 3 second silence, but the fact that said 3-second (now 2 second) silence is on a 20 SECOND COOL DOWN!!!
    Seriously, unless the other team is terrible and doesn't focus the silenced player, it's a free "I win" button every 20 seconds, and the ONLY counterplay is on a 30 second cooldown. I'm so madge at not being able to move all match. I literally can not move, got my whole team with me, samurai and red-mage both focusing me, and I never have access to guard because I got silenced 20 seconds ago, and LO AND BEHOLD, RED MAGE HAS HIS F@!&*ING SILENCE AGAIN. Here's the win/lose table, with about 80-90% accuracy:
    your team | enemy team
    no redmage | redamage -> you lose
    redmage | no redmage -> you win
    redmage | redmage -> good fun
    no redmage | no redmage -> lol, rdm is so broken this doesn't even exist.
    Seriously, I've been tracking fights, every time. not a mental thing either, I still top dmg against when I'm in the guaranteed lose scenario. As I do most matches because I'm being punished hard-stuck diamond for making the grave sin of not picking up redmage.
    sorry, jesus christ, crowd control makes me toxic, it's not fun to play a game, where one of the major mechanics is… wait for it…. not being able to play the game. rant over. sorry again. just need to vent in the spades of time I have to wright this whilst I can't play due to being silenced.

  12. They need to add more punishments for people who drop game the moment that the match gets "tough". Too many matches I"ve played where in the initial opening skirmish, the crystal isn't even unlocked and a person drops just cause one on our team has died.

I love the changes with Crowd Control going from 3 seconds to 2 seconds considering anyone with good ping would be able to fit 2 GCDs when someone can’t fight back on some skills and with being focused that could be 2-10 skills being thrown at you in 3 seconds and you can’t protect yourself compared to 2 second cc.

    That’s in a vacuum though.

  14. I'm trying to figure out how in the world summoner made it out of this patch untouched. Their AOE burst damage is up there with dragoon and in frontlines you'll literally see entire parties of only summoners that are battle high V.

  15. I'm so glad that annoying powerful shot bugs gone. If you did CC on PS4 and ran up against a bard at some point your character would just be stuck slow walking until the end of the match. At first i thought i did some wierd controller input toggle i never knew about till people at Wolves Den were talking about it. An obscure one but definitely annoying since its like getting hit with a perma heavy.

  16. I think bard is in a better spot than a lot of folks believe. The CC capability and buff potential doesn't reflect on the scorecard. Their damage is lower but the silence and 10%/5% damage buffs they can put out make them a silent threat.

  17. i think with silence its kinda funny when ur on bard
    because bards still have wardens in PvP… aka your silence or whatever is used but wont work
    and imo the brads LB will always be kinda funny, make LBs go brrrr

  18. I think the only thing I want is something to make it more noticeable when samurai initiates their limit break so it's easier to dodge/guard against. Kind of like how if you pay attention to the dragoon it's easy to dodge their limit break (due to the circle appearing on the ground). But it might just be unfamiliarity with how their limit break works entirely.
