  1. OR HEY, maybe it's no mistake at all and the game just ain't your cup of tea But hopefully this one will help out anyone looking to give the game a fair shot!

  2. I played WoW for years and always played Gnomes. Literally the thing that convinced me to try ff14 was seeing you can play as the little things (I have no idea what they’re called and know nothing about the lore). I’ve never even played a final fantasy game before but here I am now.

  3. This is important: Side quests do have a purpose. You can get crystal shards to do crafting jobs by finishing side quest lines. You can also do them while leveling a DPS aside from your main job. For instance, if you are a tank, never do a side quest. But when you start leveling a dragoon for instance, do side quests. You will be on the fast track to getting crafting jobs set.

  4. Man… I played WoW until 2011, then I played SWTOR until 2014, and now I play ESO ever since…
Still… after this video I might actually start FF14 just to see it for myself (while I still will play ESO)
But to be fair I dislike the Lalafells already – the same way I hated Gnomes and later that f***ing Ewok companion in SWTOR
THOSE are NOT my style – but maybe that cat girl or the bunny girl you keep "advertising"?
Because yes, I am man enough to know this will NOT lower my reputation among friends…

  6. I appreciate the relevance and affirmation this video gave me today xD. Because it pretty much echoes the points that I talk about with my former WoW-ing friends who were hesitant to make the switch to FF. So thanks!

  7. Too bad FF14 is the same shit as retail in the end except with weeb stuff to do and see

I played 3000 hours of ff14 and raided since stormblood

It was refreshing until it became evident that it's just a weeb version of retail with story if you care for it

Ff14 copied the theme park mmo during WoW Mists

Maybe if they copied TBC it would be good enough

  8. If you're coming from WoW, people in FFXIV don't tolerate toxic shit. If you tell someone to 'shut the fuck up' or something during a dungeon when they were just being nice, or if you start being an ass to everyone, or you're harassing new players or trying to go around calling people rude things, you'll probably get kicked from parties, and eventually banned. The community really does not tolerate bullshit, so try not to bring it with you.

  9. also if you want to level characters go join all guilds like the menders gatherers and foraging guilds and then go to your grand company and go complete the delivery's! it levels up fast I levelled my fisher to 28 with me not playing it once

  10. First mistake: research what race you want to play, ignore jobs. One character can play ever single job class.

Second mistake, you have access to every single class on that single character slot once you hit level 10.

Third mistake is using side quests to level your main job, which leaves your other jobs with less side quests to to hop on to mill levels.
