  1. Congrats on finishing ARR, Chad! I know all of us are excited to see you grow and experience the next steps of your journey. Go at your own pace, enjoy the path to the end, and we'll be happy to help you every step of the way 💞

  2. Saying that you had motif and that you hated a person is not admitting to murder. Though to be fair even if he did, there was literally nothing anyone there could do. Since there is more evidence for us committing the crime then him.

  3. ARR doesn't get enough credit sometimes.

Yes, there's a period in the middle where the fetch quests get tedious. But from a storytelling perspective, what's left is truly essential for setting the stage of both 2.55 and everything else after. The threads established here are going to weave throughout the rest of the expansions. And the story beats they produce could not hit as hard as they did (and will) if not for the atmospheric legwork that was done in ARR.

It's always cool to see someone actually get engaged in the story. Yoshi-P and the crew are adamant that the game should be experienced as a journey not just for your character but also yourself. For you to share the elation of your victories, and yes, the solemnity of your failures. I'm convinced that it's impossible to play this game and not feel something if you're actually allowing yourself to take it in.

The team also sets a great example for the community on being good leaders. Everything in the game design itself encourages players to seek the guidance of those who came before and look to guide those who come after. Sure, the first couple of times you enter an instance it's pretty much a given that you're going to be carried to the finish line. But with time that dynamic reverses. And it's rewarding in its own way because we get to relive the experience of the game through the sprouts we help and cheer along the way.

All that aside, congrats on completing A Realm Reborn and welcome to Heavensward!

  4. Welcome to Final Fantasy XIV. Such fun watching your vods yesterday and today. YT algorithm got me here. I enjoy watching playthroughs when I can't be playing. Looking forward to seeing your further adventures.

  5. I love what a wholesome community XIV can be, and your reaction to the welcoming party was sweet. Most of us enter Ishgard alone which makes more sense but seeing the community come together like this is so lovely to watch!

  6. “Pray forgive my Impat…”<click> oh my bad.
Heh. Thank you for streaming this, and I hope you get well soon.
Take it easy on yourself and don’t overwork too much, this game is long and you’ll want to be at your best for the trials ahead.

  7. I am confused.
How did the communty post contain the parting glass scene from the next expansion's trailer without Chad knowing how ARR ends?
Did he already complete ARR before?
I think I saw him playing the Shadowbringers already.

  8. Congratulations on finishing ARR MSQ, welcome to HW. This expansion you are about to experience is considered by many even to this day the best story of the game (in my personal opinion it's Shadowbringers) I do have to tell you However that the spoilers minesweep continues from here on haha.

The feels go through a Rollercoaster/ grinder, depending on what the future holds. 🙂

  10. I'm gonna say, subjectively I love your content much more than any of the big name streamers. You're the only one so far that I watch nearly full VODs of because I enjoy your commentary.

  11. I was here for part of the stream but had to leave as I was busy. I watched the entire thing from the point I had to leave and watching your heartfelt reaction to everything was awesome. Keep doing you Chad and all will be well!
