  1. I have one crafter and one gatherer at max lvl, and made most of my money through ishgardian restoration crafting. Other than that I get little chunks here and there through selling soil that I get with poetics, glamour prisms that I get with grand company seals, and crafting mats that I get with tomestones from last tier. Granted, i don't have a huge amount of money (about 60 million), but I'm never on the verge of going broke, you know?

  2. Some times you just get lucky and find a weird niche market for random shit…bi was clearing my inventory and price checking everything before vendoring it all away, and found antelope horns selling for 5-10 k PER item! How? What? Why? I dunno but I made a small fortune before it collapsed to 5 gil a piece lol

  3. I used to make a lot of gil crafting lamps in shb then the market was ruined in endwalker so I tend to look now and then for different markets I can monopolise on but I don’t have a fixed item rn

  4. Step 1) walk 5 feet to accessory vendor.
    Step 2) buy accessories.
Step 3) wall 5 feet back to your summoning bell.
Step 4) sell acessories for 10x what you bought them for.
Step 5) roll around in your giant Scrooge McDuck money pit while looking down upon the poor peasants who bought your trash because they were too ignorant or too lazy to walk the 5 feet and buy it for themselves.
Step 6) feel guilty for bamboozling those ignorant peasants.
Step 7) erase that guilt by buying a fancy new mount with the gil you obtained by bamboozling ignorant peasants.

  5. I've long given up on leveling crafters/gatherers for the purposes of making money. Market board shit just requires too much time and effort.

While actually playing the game what I usually do is do roulettes (obviously) and roll Greed on gear drops then just vendor them off (make sure you uncheck "automatically add acquired gear to armory chest" in your character settings since that's a good way to completely fill it with trash). As well, after you've already bought all the tomestone gear for each role, you can go to Idyllshire and buy Goblacquer or Goblinol and just vendor it off. You can convert a max capacity of 2,000 Poetics into 12,800 gil. There are obviously some items you could probably get more from hawking on the Market Board, but like I said I'd rather not deal with that.

Obviously, I'm not mega-rich by doing this, I only have like 3mil gil. But I don't raid or anything so it's enough to cover my expenses, buying a crafted gear piece or two to bump my ilvl or splurging on a glam item.
