this is basically how i felt while doing the quests for the beast tribes in ffxiv just something about a culinarian or weaver crafting …

"…..ah…….thanks?"
i mean… maybe the anvil pumps it full of iron ig?
kids need there vitamins and all
Me as a culinarian making audio parts in the Loporrits questline.
If he thinks the crafting methods are weird. It's gonna feel really strange when the WoL helps them every day for like a month only to never see them again after the final quest. lol
there is nothing better than cooking the combustion engine of a tank
If you can use an anvil to get rid of a sword's impurities then why not the same for medical herb. -some scientist
FFXIV in the perspective of NPCs is really scary, especially when we consider the WoL and how deranged some of their actions are lmao
Curing disease with herbs, knowledge, and HAMMERING!
if you know the trick you can cook anything
tank part
distillery kegs
potions
furniture
bombs
anything but food…
NEW ADAN JUST DROPPED MY PP IS FUELED AND HARD FOR ANOTHER 24 HOURS LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO
Don't mind me just cooking up some tank plating here
Me as an Alchemist constructing Mammets for Levieurr
My wife and I used to joke about this with the older beast tribes all the time.
NPC: "Hey, can you make us some replacement axles for this airship we're building?"
Me: "…sir, I'm a cook. I could try and make an overly stale baguette for you, if you think it'll help."
Thankfully, the crafting tribe quests have gotten better about having the dialog be more tailored to the class you're playing and something that class could realistically make, but anomalies like this do still pop up…and they are glorious. XD😂
(real talk, though, I'm more of the mindset that the WoL does more FMA-style alchemy than true crafting, but that's just my head-canon.)
Ah you need some new shirts? Let me cook you some!
"Precedes to cook some yarn" voila!
At the moment I remembered all memes about how the culinarian will rebuild Ishgard
No sound
Nothing like using the Goldsmith skill to build medicine somehow.
What's wrong with cooking up an airship part by part?
Beast Tribes be like
Native tribe: We’re not so different, you and I.
WoL: I have solved racism!
Native tribe: Great! Here’s a new car as thanks!
And for the final touch! Metal pipe sfx
Ixali when you baked their entire airship
I'll just fry up some nice airship parts for the Ixal.
me when I cook up an air balloon
I just got done doing all of the ARR beast tribe quests today. Now I feel like there is some sort of void that needs to be filled. XD
my head cannon has always been that people see the WoL as a (fantasia)addict and give quests to get them to go away, it explains all the flower picking quests..
Missing the part where they ask you the same thing again tomorrow, and also say "oh and if you need any more of that ultra-rare herb just grab some more from the infinite herb pile over there"
they're just "Tribe quests" now
When I was helping the Ixal, I was leveling Culinarian. I was "Cooking up" airship parts. That was… that was good times.
The fuckin metal pipe clanging, the unnecessarily detailed shot of the dwarf's eyes… amazing
Making a high-quality engineering component with a frying pan here, Jack. Can't fret over the details.
CLANG CLA-CLANG
Just market it as "easier on the gut" 😁
NPC: We need you to make some complex mechanical and electrical parts for our machines!
Me as a CRP: It's fine if they're made of wood, right?
Still not as crazy as making an audio subwoofer with a frying pan.
Medeesaaaaaaan!
Witchcraft!
Time to save the namazu! Prefect, festivals need cooks! Time to build a tank! Can I cook that? I have a dream! Does it involve cooking?
The way he said medicinnnnnnnnnnne reminds of the merchant from the old cd-i zelda games
