  1. I played during 2.0 and had to deal with the 300ms baseline ping. It was a significant contributor to me quitting the game. I was a loldrg main and 300ms ping + animation locks made raiding unpleasant.

  2. My story about how I got Nightmare, I did Garuda ex for the first time and that without party finder and it dropped, I rolled a 99 and the second highest a 98. The Garuda one dropped at the next one.

  3. My nightmare story is I had just made a new friend, my first one ever in the game. My new pal took me on a whole journey through the ex trials to get all the horses. I was feeling super guilty because my friend was having to carry me through all of it since I was new. Most of the trials took multiple attempts but at the end of the day I had all the horsies. Next day my pal tells me we have one left, Nightmare, and that it'll take ages since it's a rare drop. I felt sooooo bad about being carried through all the ex trials that I decided I'd try getting it myself. Queued up into the easiest trial I could solo at the time, Ifirt / Navel Ex, and got it on my second run! πŸ™‚ Nowadays if I meet a sprouty sprout I'll ask if they want help getting the horsies or some of the bird mounts. Not a hard mount to get nowadays unless you sync, but it always reminds me of my first friend in FFXIV and also helps me continue a tradition of helping welcome sprouts into the game.

  4. great vid to reflect on. Both you and Mr.Happy deserve all the support for persevering through the rough spots in life. FFXIV teaches us all….. to suffer and yes find the strength to carry on.

  5. I love the Elbst from the Sahagin and it's an injustice that he was one of the last mounts that was allowed to fly, because that means he was one of the last to be able to swim… When they live in the sea!
