  1. Wow being full of those " cheat" by ffxiv standart but it seems that's okay to you, the double standart, crazy
Completely missing the point of Xeno is also beyond human comprehension
Been a while you are so out of touch with the game, when it comes to raiding at least

  2. everything xeno complains about ff14 needing, wow has. im surprised he hasnt tried to do hard content in it. also, all those "triggers" are made by those same WF raiders as they go through the fights

  3. I don't see the point in comparing two different games with far different styles. You can enjoy one or both of them but it's really not much different than trying to compare Basketball to Football. They're both sports so they're the same right?

On the addon debate it really should be respecting the decisions of the devs behind the game. WoW chose to build their game with addons in mind, FF14 chose the opposite. Don't downplay someone breaking the rules because the advantage they got was minimal.

  4. Zep is huffing some grade A copium on this one. Raiding in WoW is trash and they have full teams feeding them gear and full-time developers coding WA and big wigs code. It's not the same. One is almost entirely on skill, the other is who can code the better WA faster.

  5. You also have to remember that a lot of the bosses are jacked to 150% kill threshold… then they slowly nerf them to 140%, 130%, etc until DAYS later when they decide to lower the stats to a killable state. If every boss started at the stats they were killed at the RWF would be a 2 maybe 3 day event at max. It’s artificially inflated to 2 weeks by Blizzard because it makes them more money from advertising 🤷‍♂️

  6. Almost everything Xeno said about what he doesn't like about WoW's race is objectively untrue. Lmao. Every final boss in mythic has a secret phase. There's no data mining of that.

  7. I really enjoy xeno and agree for the most part with him except for his opinions on anything related to cheating. He just shrugs it off. Way too nonchalant for my liking. Competitive = 0 tolerance cheating in my mind

  8. "i play on a wide screen monitor and i can't play for shit" yeah a zoom hack also doesn't make you play better sister, a weak aura doesn't make you execute better, they just give you more information, if you're shit at the game you're shit at the game!!!

  9. Regardless of any discussion about the gray areas or nuance of what tools are more of a cheat than others, I don't think 3rd party tools should be allowed at all in the race.

Using 3rd party tools in a competitive setting is cheating period. Stop trying to defend or deny it people. You are using something that is not authorized by the developers in order to give you an advantage that other players don't have within the vanilla game. If that's not cheating, then I don't know what is. If you're defending the use of 3rd party tools and moving the goal post on what is cheating or not, just stop it and admit you're a cheater and you don't care about being called a cheater.

I think it's even worse when you remember that this game is multi-platform. Do you realize how many people raid in this game on ps4, ps5, and soon xbox? None of these tools are fair to these players who participate in savage or ultimate. These players bought the game, pay the sub, and are already at a disadvantage to PC players who use 3rd party tools. And it doesn't matter if these 3rd party tools became available on console tomorrow because again, they're not officially provided or authorized by the devs in the vanilla game.

This game is for everybody and should be fair to everybody.

  10. Zeppla really understood that one differently then I did. As others stated Xenosys perspective appears more cynical then promoting "cheating" also I agree with him that if everybody cheats it is hard for me to muster outrage that one cheater is caught.

  11. can you just increase your gain on your mic for like 10%? it is always low. watch this video. xeno is fine and loud, but your voice is just too low. i have to increase my speaker volume every time

  12. I had to scratch my head when he said zoom hack isnt that bad because didnt he have a whole video reacting to their clesr where he blew up about the zoom hack specifically? I guess he does say he likes to farm ff drama for views though.

  13. This is exactly why I stopped caring about pokémon VGC. Freaking everybody cheats and when they're not on official pokémon channels they all talk to each other about how they cheat. Just because everybody cheats doesn't mean that a wind still counts because they themselves cheated. Cheating is cheating and FFX IV does not allow plugins. This is why the wow race is better in my opinion because Blizzard does allow plugins but there are certain things they don't want trivialized so they hid the markers for those plugins.

Thanks for highlighting this dude's channel. I've seen his videos but I've never watched because he always looks like a douche canoe in the thumbnail and now I know he is.

  14. Xeems point isn't that "zoom hack = OK", but that "UNNAMED won with zoom hack against other teams that also used zoom hacks", therefore they won. But let's assume no other team didn't use zoom hacks (which they almost 100% did) but it's not like they cleared an hour or two before world 2nd THEY WERE so fucking ahead that even without the hacks they were almost guranteed to have won either way.

In wow basically all except the last 1 – 3 bosses can be played on the PTR which means the guilds already know them basically in and out. Which is why WoW races usuall all except the last three or so bosses are killed in like less than 20 pulls.

The WoW race is also P2W in the sense that you can buy gold, we know these big guilds spend thousands of IRL dollars on wow tokens for the race. They also have profestional chefs and wifi experts on standby during the whole race to ensrue basically nothing will go wrong. In FF these absurd differences don't exist.

Even if I don't like how liberal Blizzard is with allowing addons to the point of designing bosses around a few of them, (ehm DBM). Blizzard also straight up ban addons they don't like so that they don't work in game, something FF14 dosen't which means so long you don't stream or get caught some other way using addons. Like, why not use them? Which we see people do in basically every form of content the game has, BECAUSE THEY FUCKING CAN. If a random no named bozo is gonna cheat in an expert dungeon, why wouldn't the RWF guilds also use these addons, it would be dumb not to. Just don't be caught.

  15. An anti cheat is the only thing that will stop most of this and quite frankly, I'd rather let the modders do their thing before going that route. It's not hurting the game as much as people are trying to make it look like. Most of it is coming from the fear that the devs would implement countermeasures.

The only mods I am in support of are those that fixes accessibility issues. Losing these to an anti cheat would create actual damage for probably a lot of people.

  16. Also to embrace the cheats means creating a tired system of competition between PC players and console players bc one of those groups can have cheats and the other cannot.

  17. This felt very biased on a game that you love, against an opinion Xeno has.
Your defense against xeno's thought of "there's no discovery, I care about the players more" you said "no there is discovery, its about how the players work together and their reaction time!" …. So its the players that make the content interesting? Seems like you agreed with him there. And it the beginning before you started the video, you were gushing on discovering the timeline mechanic.

  18. zepla's bias tgowards her history with wow and her wow friends is definitely showing. Its also a double standard to say wow plugins aren't cheating just because they're considered in raid design.
nah. I always raided in wow Heroic/mything with no plugins.

Its cheating in both games. So his point of everyone is cheating is true: so its not a metric that makes one better or worse than the other.
Its still bad, but for the context of this conversation the cheating isn't a metric to bring up in comparison. Having the cheats before the fight is out/versus having to figure out the fight and gettng them in the middle of prog is different, sure.

  19. As a wow player his point about wows "discovery" is right and she either missed the point or doesnt know what shes talking about. They get to test the bosses (tests that could be done live) but also from datamining they get access to almost all the abilities the boss has and can form strategies around them before even seeing them. Yes it still takes alot of skill to pull off but the info being there before it even starts is still something to consider.
As for cheats you cant say "cheating is bad no one should cheat" and them also talk about how many people would leave if you couldnt mod. Until they start white listing either all mods are bad or all mods are good if youre going to have so stronge an opinion. Cosmetic mods could be argued youre using cosmetics that the game doesnt promote or give you access to the same as information that raid cheats do.
Just my 2cents as someone who plays both

  20. I've seen a lot of xeno's takes over the years when it comes to WoW. I think the majority have always been agree to disagree to me. I'm pretty sure he's played before but he hasnt played it in awhile let alone mythic content… and playing in the past is nothing compared to now. I've done CE every tier in Dragonflight(I came back after moving to 14 during bfa/SL). These tiers have been very difficult before they start putting out the nerfs for the more common man to get the kills. Some of the heal checks have been insane til the nerfs go out same with dps checks on some wall bosses. Not saying that you don't get that in FF14 as well with ultimates but the games are very different in the high end raid setting while some "normal mmo" things are relevant to both. Really don't want to pull out the group size numbers either but sometimes we have stacked mechanics hitting at the same time that have personal responsibility for MORE than 8 people or the entire raid just wipes there. One death in M Sark even with brezzes could cause issues later with how mechanic baiting works in P3. Just look at p3 fyrakk with blaze and seed management + the tornados.

    Comments on specific points.
    1. I wouldnt mind having more bosses not on ptr though, we've seen how blizzard balanced their bosses this expansion however and their internal QA isn't up for it.

    2. WoW addons are at least regulated unlike ff14 ones. Zoom hacks and the other things in ff14 we've seen aren't anything like WA's because blizzard has been breaking things they dont want you to do with WA's while square ignores it because an anti cheat would mess up everyone and we know people don't wanna lose their glam mods.

    3. The resources is high but there are plenty of teams in the top 25 as well as players that could break into the top 3 since those players jump between teams all the time anyway. Some players end up making the jump from top 100 over time. So yes its the same team names but new players do come into the teams all the time especially when a spec ends up being great(we saw a feral for once). Thats why you see recruitment "x player has joined" twitter post before each tier in WoW because players make the jump from other guilds into the top 3. You could do it too, just gotta put in the work.

    4. Raid starting at same time across world would be sick for WoW.

If you ask a WoW player that does the high end content what they would want in mythic its generally a mix of
    1. No PTR
    2. Raid lockouts changing where its not the antiquated system but you could farm bosses on other lockouts when we do extensions on the last two bosses for prog.
    3. Raid open for world at same time.
Thats it. Sometimes you have "design raids without weak auras in mind" and honestly these mythic tiers this expansion don't need them. WA's are just there generally to help with the lack of customization in the Blizz ui even though its been updated. Raz spark charges is a good example of this. Echo Nelth WA is a supreme outlier and even arthars commented on that one on twitter since he does both games content. Anything below mythic is easily done without addons and I even do mythic with a largely base UI out of preference. The other common ask I see is stop doing blue on blue design when it comes to mechanics(look at nymue) but WoW designs based on how the game feels and thematics so that wont change for awhile. Had the same issue with P3S On Phoinix in FF14 lol.

    Anyway, looking forward to Dawntrail.

  21. So you can tell zepla has no idea what she's talking about in regards to widescreens because wow used to have an addon that would allow you to change your wow resolution to dimensions your screen couldn't natively support BECAUSE IT GAVE YOU MORE VISUAL INFORMATION. I find it kind of funny, and a bit concerning how confidently she laughs and dismisses the idea while approaching it in the most bad faith way possible.

  22. On the 14 side of things. The cheating doesn't actually matter, because the people who love and play the game have actively got behind teams and streamers that arent using mods that cheat. Which makes a separate race.

  23. i dont agree with cheating but at the same time i dont care tbh. it doesnt affect me or my gameplay. legit the only fear is square adding anti cheat. but seriously i legit always thought it was stupid. the rewards you get from a clear are shit anyways. its literally for bragging rights, a title and glamour. it baffles me that people are that desperate.
does it ruin the game's integrity? Probably but no one gives af about your clears in the game anyways.

  24. Is it not hypocrisy that you admit to using 3rd party tools (fflogs) but shit on someone else for using a zoom hack? They are all the same in the eyes of SE. I would even argue ACT/fflogs is far and away going to help improve your play than any other 3rd party tools, it's why everyone uses it.
