  1. Y'all are missing the point if the Lala week is at the start of Endwalker she either has to play the epic finale of a 10 year old story as a potato OR wait for the week to run out while everyone else is enjoying the MSQ 😈

  2. Jokes and memes aside, Asmongold has been partaking in raid content for well over a decade. He's been a part of difficult content and all sorts for a long time, and whilst he's not a 100th percentile parser,he has more than enough MMO experience to pick things up quickly and adapt to necessary mechanics.

Combined with the fact that he puts in the hours and is legitimately enjoying himself, and has basically already finished ARR [and done all of the content on min ilvl/no echo, something most people haven't even done], I genuinely have no doubt that he will clear it. 4 months is a ton of time when you play MMOs the way he does.

  3. It's definitely not happening before Endwalker. Let's take a look at what he has to do (all on his main stream, as he says he wants to do):

MSQ: He's doing roughly the same thing that Jesse Cox did (voicing what isn't voiced, absorbing the dialogue and giving thoughts every now and then). If we removed all the side tracks from his progress and make some rough comparison and speed things up a bit, it's going to take at least 170-ish hours on MSQ and ONLY MSQ to reach the end of 5.0 from the end of 2.0, when TEA is unlockable. An average of 6 hours of hardcore MSQ per stream with his current schedule, he's looking at probably 6-8 weeks for this. He will also need to do post 5.0 to be ready for Endwalker at some point, so add more time for this. Probably closer to the 8 week mark, a little over, if we include it.

Alliance Raids, Normal Raids/Trials and all of their story: These have deceptive amounts of story that will take up time just like MSQ will. I'd estimate all of these would take maybe 2 weeks in total to plow through.

Extreme Trials/Savage Raids: EXs will be fine for the most part. Maybe 1 week of total streams to cover every Extreme in the game. Savages, at min ilvl, will be absolutely brutal. Multiple weeks of prog are going to be required to cover all of Alex, Omega and Eden (if he goes beyond E4S when he unlocks TEA). Every end-tier boss is going to walk all over them due to materia downscaling. E8S min ilvl alone fucks over downscaled BiS gear to the point where it might actually be close to impossible without getting crafted pentamelded then-tier gear, the DPS check is that tight. His group is going to have to be very dedicated to get through in a timely manner the closer they get to current level. Let's say maybe 3-4 weeks of prog for all Savages and Extremes in total, and that's a low-ball estimate.

TEA: Actually progging and completing it. It doesn't matter who he brings with him, he cannot be carried. He has to learn the fight end to end, perfect his rotation and execute all the mechanics flawlessly while doing so. Doing this as a tank is especially important. Anything less than this from him and they are not clearing. Dying to a tankbuster or because of one silly mistake is not an option. This will be multiple weeks, no matter how much skill one has.

MSQ, side stories, and raid prog are going to account for at least 3 months of streams alone. This is if he literally only plays FFXIV from now until Endwalker, without New World, PoE or any other games he's wanting to play on stream. It simply is not enough time.

If he wants to do it, he will have to play off-stream or stop doing side content the way he is doing it now. The thing is, I don't really want him to do that. He's clearly enjoying the game at this pace and seeing everything the way it was supposed to be is such a nice thing to watch. I just hope he genuinely doesn't feel pressured to gun for an Ultimate before Endwalker, because as shown, it's a massive undertaking. The Ultimates aren't going anywhere post-Endwalker. That's the magic of this game. Nothing becomes irrelevant. TEA will be just as much of an achievement then as it would be now.

Edit: I'd also maybe include Eureka as part of this equation too. The idea of the 64-man raid is going to be very attractive to him, so does he go through with that as well? That's a fuckton of grinding and content to do on top. Bozja may catch his interest too with the dungeons and raids that come with it. He can do a lot of grinding for these off-stream, but then we're also adding a few days (more for Delubrum Savage) on to everything else.

  4. I'd safely bet he won't even reach Shadowbringers by Endwalker if he's going to do every savage raid and extreme trial with min iLvl and no echo. If his impression is that he can clear a stormbringers savage raid as easy as coils then he is gonna be getting a weeklong stream only on a raid

  5. Yeah I don't think he will, and he shouldn't. I believe that if he ignores the shit ton of EX fights, Alexander's, and Omega's raids and clear only the necessary savage content to unlock TEA he could be starting to prog TEA by the time Endwalker comes out.

It's not about if he is good enough to clear it, it's about time and the LONG road to get there.

  6. I mean he probably won't but she's also imposing a short deadline. Let the dude enjoy the story and the raids at his own pace, he'll get there eventually. The Ultimate titles aren't leaving and neither are the weps and you don't get a fancy achv that you beat x Ultimate before x Patch like in WoW.

  7. im confident he can clear it purely because of how good the players he can get are.
Dont get me wrong, there is a fuck ton of personal responsibility in ultimates, an absurd amount, and he will be the cause of many wipes, but you can absolutely still get hard carried, its just going to take a bit longer than if you were actually a god yourself.

  8. You can see in the way he plays that he plays FFXIV as if it's WoW; that is, running around hitting stuff during bossfights and just action-reacting to things.

I think the rigid rotations and 20 minutes of pure memorized mechanics are going to kick his ass.

  9. I mean, if he gets 7 people that have cleared and know what to do, they only have to worry about him learning, and he is a decent enough player. I think it's possible. Depends how determined he is, and how much time he puts in.

  11. To be honest, its have been a month ago since asmond played ffxiv,he has just finished 2.0MSQ,we All know he still have a long way to shadowbingers, and then finish Eden's promise and open Ultimate Alexander.🧐or maybe he can do ultimate bahamut just after 4.0 and finished omega ,but i ..just dont think he have enough time to do(*゚◇゚).As we All Know,2.x,3.0,3.x,4.0…Meanwhile Asmond Played 4 different mmo at the same time.So sure, zepla convinced he Cant finished it before endwalker ,really make sense🧐

  12. I mean if zepla can do it being the weakest link and pretty much causing almost every single wipe anyone can do it. Also keep in mind they have barely done a reclear.

  13. So, if he were already at the point where he could start progging TEA now, then yeah he could probably do it. But he's just got way too much content from here to there to enjoy before he could even think about doing it. There's just not enough time, I think he'll realize that if he decides to do savage Alexander.
