  1. Ff14 doesn't disappoint even stormblood i was enthralled by the story and characters which alot of ppl consider to be the weakest expansion. Yotsuyu was such a great character. Also I cant wait to be back in eorzia for the next expansion.

  3. This is set to be the Avengers Endgame of the greatest fantasy franchise in gaming history and I’m prepping for it already. Going to get me a good 10 day vacation from work + tell the family ‘sorry I’ll come see you guys for Christmas’ haha.

  4. Hopefully bigger applies to more than just MSQ, a side-effect of the over-emphasis Shadowbringers had on such things meant there was ultimately less side content, and some of that content itself felt very rushed, I pray 6.0 has a better lifespan post-release.

  5. I love how FFXIV is created more like a world to live in. Typically I spend 14 hours in real world and 8 hours in dream world in a day, so I find it really nice I can spend 2 hours being isekai'd to completely other world doing things otherwise I can't do.

  6. in fairness, some of the FFXI stories were among the best Final Fantasy storylines already. Shadowbringers is absolutely fantastic mind you, it's just not the first time Square have done a truly epic story within a MMO.

  7. I will officially says this because this needs to be heard … thank you so much prince for ruined my life by playing Final fantasy 14 ! Yes I said it you Prince did it ! I didn't want to be addicted to that game . My schedule is everyday after work my ass is in that game when I say everyday I mean EVERYDAY ! I don't even have time to play others games because you are the cause of this manifestation. Even while I'm writing this comment where do you think I am ? Yes you guess it I'm in the game again !! So guys I swear to God this is exactly what this man says and even more !!

  8. Heavensward, storm blood, ARRB are all bigger than Shadowbringers when it comes to content. Shadowbringers didn't have a single hard mode dungeon. Look at the dungeon count on SB and compare it to the previous expansons, its nothing. So to say its bigger than Shadowbringers, that doesn't mean anything LOL.

  9. The only thing that was "better" was the story. Not the gameplay, jobs, nor raids. Please don't overpraise the entire expansion when you only really focused on the story.

    14 is a game not a movie. that means you should speak up more on the *gameplay*.

    Jobs that essentially did not get upgraded nor change and are an embarrassment: warrior, monk, and bard. Warrior has a broken system since 4.2 STORMBLOOD. It also recieved no true new skills (IC is just repeat HW fell cleave) and recycled ARR animations. Monk recieved nothing new that matters and lost everything. It doesn't even have its actual identity anymore. With the "adjustments" it's like warrior: plays exactly like 70 monk, which is worse than 70 SB mnk by far. Now it has a bunch of useless skills and with riddle of earth's regression, you have to tediously spam RoE and true north because if you want full value of tn, you must as all fights fuck monk on potency constant and the damage isn't worth that effort and it's not rewarding. It's a chore. The one thing they should've NEVER CHANGED was 30s RoE tn. Yoshida just can't fucking get monk right. After HW it just never recovered. It almost did it in 4.2, but no that was unintended and he had to ruin it beyond repair. Neither did warrior, who also lost its entire identity, being the hp tank, the self healing tank who can't do it until 78 when it could at 35, the 5th dps tank as its supposed to have a dps stance (why bother keeping deliverance moves but have their stance be defiance? This isnt their true stance. None of this was mentioned by you. And bard just got apex arrow. Okay? Let's not mention that machinist's rework is basically ranged-warrior with a lot of off globals that no one plays and bans in raids, dark is warrior with added clone dot and ogcds, scholars fairy actions are still not instant, bahamut is still needy and not instant yet firebird is, and warrior was the lowest in dps tank until the end yet yoshida said he wont fix living dead because job identity (btw, warrior holmgang is 1s to 8s as it's based on the bind and to use far away you have to untarget or macro it and have delay that can also end you). None of this was mentioned by you. But yes ShB is the "best expansion". NOT.

    Talk about the GAMEPLAY as it's a video game. Not only that we are consecutively getting less content. Less dungeons, less trials, less job animations and skills, less gameplay, and even only got ONE ULTIMATE. We are just getting more crafting and glamour. bozja is not worth any of those losses.

    If you actually stopped and checked what you're saying youd see that Shadowbringers is the worst expansion*. A good story does *not make it the best nor better. Nothing beats stormblood's tskuyomi. I'd say the weapons are on equal standing with the lords and the triad, but ShB raids are not better. I did not enjoy two "platonic lesbians" because its always girls. Its never two men/guys/queers. Wheres the representation? you mean the quiet gay couple in the wanderers palace?

    All you really talked about was story. Please review *everything*. And if not, put as much effort into actually knowing the gameplay as well as story.

    Keep in mind EW is essentially part two of SB, and honestly SB is a lot better. No, the story wasnt about our origins, but areas, gameplay, music, raids, ultimates, trials, dungeons were better.

  10. I guess I'm the only one who wasn't really satisfied with 5.55 MSQ?

    Compared to other x.5 MSQ (Crystal Braves 2.5, Papalymo's death 3.5, Scions with lost souls 4.5), 5.5 as a whole seems lacking the shocking and impactful element that usually happens in x.5 MSQ which is a transition to new expansion. I like Zenos as a villain, but Fandaniel doesn't seems to be a good written villain. He looks like FF 14 attempt to recreate Kefka, but lacking alot compared to Kefka. And I agree with Forchenault, the threat that Fandaniel bring doesn't look as serious as they make it seems to be. We don't even know how Fandaniel can recreate the Final days. All of his attempts so far were easily stopped. Imo, Fandaniel is the worst villain in FF 14 so far. I see him as a joke for now. Hopefully it will get better in Endwalker

  11. When I watched the new trailer when Y'shtola goes to Old Sharlayan, the AST quests popped into my mind, where they tell us that the scholars are very closed ppl, that they can be cruel, and they say that the knowledge is not for everybody

    Question though – there was video footage of the default Hyur midlander fighting various foes, but I don't recall parallel footage in the game (namely the one with him fighting against Sin Eaters in a broken building in Lakeland, and knocking one out of the air, prior to Grani showing up). Was this from a trailer/preview besides the main cinematic?

  13. imo they should do a soft remaster with 7.0 not story whise but ah garphical overhaul fresher UI animations maybe even some combat system overhaul etc to make it more modern..
    the game would blow up so much,
    oh yeha and maybe do something about the terrible housing system

  14. I have a theory that when Yoshi-P says "New Beggining" he also literally means a complete new "New Player Experience" cause from gameplay perspective the game needs that, heavily.
    Literally a new beggining for the story and for the game for new players, making all of the Hydaelin vs Zodiark storyline "Optional" for new players, and all of the WoL players have some kind of new legacy reward.

  15. Wait a minute: 1,3 more cutesenses does not necesarrily mean more conent as a whole. The fact that we have more cutscenes can very easily mean that they have lowered the amount of non speaking moments, in order to bring the total of scenes within 6.0 on about the same level as for 5.0. Of course this is not a given either, but just pointing out to the fact that more cutscenes is not a automatic conversation to more content.

  16. I still think we will be going to the 13th. To many void related stuff happening like it is building up for something beyond HvZ arc. Plus, Reaper introduction pulling out the 13th from behind the curtain.

    (my theory about reaper is that the voidsent we control is actually our shard from the 13th world that fell into Void. Currently, it is the only way I can think of how we can act as host for it without any of the negative side effects that should happen. We also know the 13th never rejoined with the source because the ascians screwed up so that shard is still out there somewhere likely trying to retain their sense of self. )
