  1. Its funny how you focus the entire video on a irrelevant 1% nerf while completely ignoring the fact certain jobs were not buffed making them still very undesirable like mch which is the real problem here.

  2. I must live in some kinda bubble because I never see the "big controversy" or all the complaints when it's talked about. I still find machinist and paladin in party finder and never heard anyone complain about the 1% change.
    As for red mage all I'd ask for is more attacks to mix things up, give it a bit of the summoner treatment, and to make rez and cure unlock way earlier or at least AT 50/60. It's such a pain going back to previous dungeons and not having rez which is kinda part of the job identity. I also think it takes too long to get to the melee combo.
    Right now it's doing a long back and forth dance with 2 moves that occasionally become 4 until bar says it's okay for you to do something different. Then a quick combo. Repeat.

  4. I think the bigger issue with nerfing the boss instead of buffing the under tuned classes is that mch/rdm/ply are still worse off. Seems like devs will do anything to avoid fixing mch. There is no downside to mch potency buffs. And they all know it. If anybody knows a โ€œproblem that would causeโ€ I canโ€™t think of one.

  5. RDM hasn't seen a single buff this entire expansion minus a displacement animation shortening.

    It's depressing when i can clear the P8S dummy on DRK, WAR, even DNC easier than I can on RDM.

  6. While it SHOULD be possible to clear with all jobs now. The fact that all jobs have been homogenized greatly over the years. And the big focus is now for everyone to work around burst windows. And I mean EVERYONE. And if you're a class who doesn't have utility or a raid buff. Youre just worse overall in this meta that the dev team want to build the game around.

    Red mages can't have the same damage as a black mage because then why would you ever bring a BLM? When you could have the same damage output and infinite battle resses? It makes sense on paper, but since everything is built around that 2 minute burst window. Some jobs are better than others. And since some jobs have stayed relatively the same for many patches, the jobs like MCH and RDM kinda get left by the wayside. Because their playstyle and pros of bringing the job are are no longer a boon for your group. Because they're not needed anymore. Im not saying that having a redmage or summoner for more rezzes, isn't good. But since all the mechanics this teir will wipe the party if even one person is dead, those dont matter. And since you NEED to beat these fights around those burst windows, if you don't have the Higher DPS of other jobs, or a utility to cover your weaker damage, then you're just straight up fucked.

    I agree that it's stupid to say that this game is becoming WoW, but a lot of these complaints besides those, are very, VERY valid. It still feels like they dev team didn't test certain team comps, or job utilization for clears. Our meme for our community after all, is that you can play whatever you want, and clear whatever you want. And they ruined that.

    We as a community are spoiled by YoshiP, but that doesn't mean we don't point out the mistakes they make. I personally criticize BECAUSE I love this game. I just think some people could have done a better job of criticizing. Some people definitely were worse than others. But this doesn't take away from the fact, that a great deal of them were still right.

  7. I think my worrying problem about this approach is soon every class will feel the same in regards to balance where classes identify will be which button you push in an order or which one is flashier.

  8. While there have been way more nerfs to the WoW raid as you shown, people were still able to clear it on Heroic because there is that buffer of difficulty. Of course this raid tier in particular was harder than most on launch. I don't think Savage can be compared to Mythic in terms of difficulty. Personally, I don't think the devs in either game "need" or "should" apologize or beg to the playerbase for forgiveness because something was overtuned, the nerf itself speaks for that. Ultimately player reaction is out of hand in some cases but thats with literally any change positive or negative

  9. Devs trying to give justification for taking the easy way out is something that really concerns me.

    Yes, the fight was overtuned. But MCH damage was a problem from the beginning and theyโ€™re just not addressing that. I hope the JP forums blow up with responses after this and the real root problem actually gets fixed

  10. 6:10 is exactly what I think. They just too good then add Sokens music and you have just epic endgame content. But I appreciate the team noticing classes getting excluded and adjusting. It's like they said "Yes, you should get gud too, but you should still be able to clear this with whatever class you want and so that is why we are fixing it." Thanks for all the context, as a casual raider, it's good to understand why my hardcore colleagues are mad lol.

    Couldn't care less about balance we been unbalanced reaper and sam will always out dps dragoon and mnk

    Pld will always out survive dark knights.
