  1. Fuck them, fuck all of them. If you don't like what you see, quit the fuck game. But don't extort / abuse developers for your own negliance about being displeased about something. I do not need a WoW 2.0. Fuck that.

  2. I would understand if the "reason" would be something that everyone can relate, a big bug, another delay, I don't know… but to make a fuss about one job being "not balanced" in someone eyes, it's crazy. Maybe those people play only samurai. Maybe they are mad because other dps are having bigger aggro now then them. They do not feel allmighty and powerful anymore and decided to backlashing on devs. Everyone will have something that would like slightly to change in theri jobs, to make their own performance and pleasure (easiness) of playing better, but we kinda forgetting how BIG the game is. OMG.

  4. the section of peps mad and insulting devs and etx are a small portion of this community best to blacklist them. When you are a jerk or disrespectful your word does not count. That said this sounds like they're making a mountain out of a mole hill. all that said I'm quite happy with where samurai is weebs should do less dmg. ;P

  5. I'm conflicted about this. I think that abusive feed back shouldn't be a thing obviously, but it will never stop and to pretend like it will is naïve. If they quit or get burnt out over people giving them shit, statistically a small amount of people in the whole, then this job isn't for them and they shouldn't be on the team anymore. I hope YoshiP doesn't hold on to them too tightly, because some people just can't take the dark side popularity brings– which is fine. It just can't stand in the way of keeping the game good, and making it better. People pay a sub for a reason, so whether they can or can't handle it they have to keep working or leave. There is a ton wrong with the game that has been wrong for ages that they need to fix, the last thing they need is staff members playing the hurt feelings card and making what is strong about the game weak.

  6. I love the game. The devs are brilliant. But I have to say this expansion I have noticed that this expansion I have seen so many bad people when doing MSQ and roullettes.
I just unsubbed daily abuse from people just reminded me of wow too much

  7. People don't realize that this is not like WOW who only cares about your money, They do their best to meet with the players standards most of all and listen. No many game developers care that much about feed back like they do.

  8. I keep hearing about the spaghetti code that was legacy from 1.x.

The fact that these devs have managed to give us what we have today while dealing with that shows that these devs and designers are the best in the industry.

  9. Here is some perspective. COVID sprung up not even half a year after Shadowbringers was released and during this time, they are releasing post game patches while getting situated with working from home. On top of that, they are preparing for a release window of 2021 for Endwalker, while working within those same work conditions. That is already a lot of pressure to get things right.

  10. I am still baffled when I hear/read these kind of things. It’s a game, and if you have things you don’t like, be respectful. I love FF14 and if you look around the industry, sadly the FF14 is an exception to the rule when it comes to community handling and listening to us. Keep that in mind.

  11. All people have to do is keep feedback constructive. If you want something changed, say what it is that you want changed, and (most importantly), WHY you want it changed. Focus on the changes, and don't abuse people.

  12. Its just baffling at how disgusting and disrespectful people can be…on top of being ungrateful and unappreciative….with zero awarness of anything outside their little bubble

  13. If given the chance to say the same thing to the devs faces these people would not dare, most likely they would be to afraid to even show up to such a meeting. Such is the nature of trolls like this.

  14. 100% Agreed! It's understandable to be frustrated with the queues or issues with balance or if your favorite job isn't working out for you, but don't take it out on the devs.

We had this in the 3rd PvZ shooter: Battle for Neighborville; it isn't that great and is not a good follow up after the wonderful Garden Warfare 2 but calling the devs lazy, evil, stupid, and worse isn't going to help anything. If things are wrong, broken, or need fixing, we need to bring it up, but you can do it without being nasty or vicious about it.

Endwalker is amazing. I've been playing MMOs since around 2002 or so with EQ, and have seen many launches of games and expansions, and while EW has had issues, especially with the queues, but it's still been the most stable and playable launch I've ever seen.

I main DRK which a lot of people are complaining about and it could play more smoothly, but I'm not going to rip into the devs about it, they've done an amazing job on this game and don't deserve such harsh treatment, and they've proven in the past that they can get stuff fixed and balanced very well.

  15. I agree comparing Blizzard's situation to SE's is apples to oranges, but the end results can be the same. With care, they can still be kept fresh and make wonderful products like apple pie and orange juice. Ignoring it, the fruit will inevitably rot.

In blizzards case, it was a lot of internal strife and when fans asked questions related to game design, it was met with apathy and disdain, like Ion's response to WoW classic being an example. When it was asked about after the giant private server was taken down. This wasn't a small group of fans angry over that. This kind of interaction wasn't one time, but a pattern. When people asked what happened to WOD's mid-content, then praising legion, and then BFA's bad choices ruined legions good name angering fans. This in turn gets misdirected at the developers when it's really a failure of leadership. Then SL happens and it's not what player had asked for, and the cycle then continues like an endless waltz.

SE's however feels like a small brushfire born of a very specific issue. So instead of letting it fester, Yoshi's being firm in telling them their methods wrong, but being understanding of their concerns. This way the buck stops with him, he gets his point across to the fans they're heard but their tone isn't appreciated, and the developers don't feel undervalued as he's doing right by his team.

  16. Remember, you can be critical of the team's decision making or adjustments and also treat them as human beings. Claim of wrong decisions is more than welcome and why FFXIV still lives to be played. What isn't however is vitriol spewed in purely selfish catharsis at another's expense.

  17. Is there a way we can show our love for these good game makers? they do some great work and even did a fix on the downlow for dragoon. at the start of Endwalker You needed to high Jump 3 times like in shadow bringers pointlessly. It look like a hold over from the the old system when you need to manage the dragon gauge bar thing. I was telling my friend about it and low and behold, they cut it down to 2 jumps. Making the gameplay soo much faster! I feel like a rabid squirrel attacking the boss again!! Most Devs would just keep it till the next expansion. not do anything other then just raising the damage numbers numbers.

  18. Haters are just gonna keep hating, that’s that. And internet abuse can be much prevalent in Japan because the society atmosphere is much more pressured than western society, and the anonymity of the internet just act as a perfect pressure release valve.

But talking about fun, I lost hours last night just sticking fishes, oh man that change to mini game style is crazy.

  19. Can I like this video more than once? I fear for the team and the perceived influx of negative internet behavior and trolls. They're rotten apples in the barrel and we as a community who are also in the barrel have to take responsibility for making sure they don't ruin everything for us. So – if we can, we should – as nicely as possible – use our own voices to quiet those who would hurt the talented people who make the game(s) we love so much.
