In this video Xeno reacts to a couple Warrior animation / VFX mods for Final Fantasy 14 created by the community. Xeno does not condone the use of any third party tool or mod in Final Fantasy XIV. Xeno is a reformed player who wants to go to the next media tour. Yoshi-P please don’t cast your wrath.

  1. I'm gonna be REALLY frank…if it wasnt for the mod community, there is NO WAY in hell I would play this game over 11k hrs since ARR Release. I'd be somewhat bored to death.

  2. I agree that some are over the top. Mythril Cyclone Berserker mode just excessive. However, I did like Infuriated Berserker mode. One thing to note, since Yasumi Matsuno is one of the designers for FFXIV and also directed Tactics Ogre (now Tactics Ogre Reborn), there is a class in the game called Berserker (Hoping for prestige classes/jobs) that may come along one day. We shall see.

  3. Thank you, Xeno. Glad you liked it, and thanks to everyone for feedback. That is one of my older edits, so I hope to eventually have some updates for it. I remember hearing you play Gunbreaker. I have a pack for that as well. I've done DRK, WAR, GNB, MNK, BLM, RPR, WHM, SCH, SGE, RDM, and NIN so far. Working on PLD currently and have plans to do the rest. But I am probably most known for my Summoner edits.

    As others mentioned, picking and choosing what effects you want to use is important, which is why each individual ability mod is also included with the download. I do use my full job overhauls like that one when raiding with my static in savage too.

    P.S. If you do a video for WHM or RPR, you gotta look at my buddy Dekken. They did an edit to the Avatar that was superb, and some bloody good effects for WHM, imo. They are also working on a Summoner edit to create a Necromancer which I have been so happy to lend a hand with.

  4. admit its nice and visual and shit, but its not for me.., and i think anyone that uses it is an idiot.(dont even bother responding to that, you know its an opinion, and youll only out yourself as unmanly and easily buthurt, or unWOMANly for the ladies out there with disgustingly unappealing rage)

    as a person who doesnt shut off visual effects in alliances, i can see clearly, but even if the mod creator actually had all their reworks on, its bullshit, unless they post unedited all effects max, and still world first in new content.

    at that Point, just give the Redmage affect to all classes.(its a joke obviously, so i wont slash s)

  5. Issue with these mods is that they lack visual clarity, Imagine if you are in an 8+ party and everyone has effects like these mods have, you couldn't see shit what was happening.

  6. It’s very flashy and explosive I though Michael Bay made this. I feel like it’s missing the feeling of brute force and strength to make the earth crumble. Instead it’s really bright and with fire.

  8. seems too over the top. And most changed actions do have different animations than their actually hitbox (making one target skills look like multi target)

  9. Making every ability feel epic then devalues when you should have the epic moments.

    Some of these abilites I do definitely like. But some or way over the top and plus out right misleading of what their doing.

    Solid fidelity but gameplay standpoint just too much.

  10. Some skills are cool. Warriors finishers should always feel like heavy hitting hits like storm’s eye and storm’s path, primal rend, inner chaos. The only one that feels good in a warrior is the primal rend, it feels like you’re really smashing something with a big axe.
