    A lot.
    Especially in Bismarck.

    Lots of DRG died trying to use Spineshatter Dive before going to Bismarck's back.

    What else?? Maybe some basic mistake like jumping into the enemy with circle AOE. Well the journalist wasn't wrong with their statement about DRG

  2. MNK is C tier because people are more afraid of what they hear/read about the job than actually trying it and finding out is not that bad. Now that GL has been removed, It reminds me of DRG to be honest, just without the jumps.

  3. The MNK part is only correct if you don't level up to 74 or higher, when you get the Deep Meditation 2 trait. At that point, the only RNG involved in the rotation is getting a chakra on anything other than a correctly-placed Bootshine & how fast you get all five chakra. If you're landing your Bootshines correctly, you'll get them every 30 seconds minimum; doing crit dmg for other weaponskills or having Brotherhood up affects whether or not you get five chakra sooner. You aren't proc'ing your 1-2-3 combo like you do on some other DPS jobs. And the complaints about positionals are funny to me because, if you play Melee DPS, you should be sitting behind the boss anyways, as you'll have at least one positional in your rotation. Just sit at the end of the pizza slice on the targeting ring and move slightly left or right as you need to.

    Critiquing Brotherhood because it's not an attack is actually quite stupid. A 5% DMG buff for the entire party, with a 20% chance of charka procs from other party members (increasing to ONE HUNDRED PERCENT in END), and it stacks if you have more than one MNK in your party? No, it sucks because you don't hit people with it, I guess. And the range is 15 yalms, so if you aren't getting the buff, you're probably farther than you actually need to be during that burst window.

    Meditate is fine, as a downtime button. It serves that purpose better than Anatman, which is still in the game, for some reason.

  4. The whole thing about Dragoon was weird.
    1. Yes, Battle Litany gives critical hit rating, not crit chance.
    2. Dragon Sight was also wrong there. It's always a 10% damage buff for yourself. The fact that they didn't even mention Lance Charge and instead gave Dragon Sight so much praise was weird, bro.

  5. Hey, I just wanted to say that this kind of job is usually offered to freelance writers which are paid the same amount no matter what they actually write.
    You usually get paid for writing a X number of articles, a lot of times you don't even get to decide what they're about, things that get easy clicks like tier lists, top 10/top 5 ranks/guides are what editors push or outright demand out of these writers.
    So while I know it's hilarious to come in here and laugh about these things, this is probably someone in a shit situation just making a living with what they have available, I almost ended up in a similar position and ended up turning it down once I realized how fucked it was.

  6. God I love shitty tierlists made by journalists that have 20 minutes in the game. I saw that shit all the time in Monster Hunter World and it was hilarious seeing how wrong they were. The only time tierlists matter in EITHER game is for speedrun clears or if its purely based on personal opinion and how well you like that job/weapon

  7. As a monk main, it depends on party composition for brotherhood to do well for chakra. Yes because it has a range it can be tricky if people are too far away to hit them. Also, depending on classes in your party(such as dancer) you aren’t going to get many weaves/hits off from them to increase chakra gain. That being said, the class still has a lot to offer from increased party healing to hypermobility. Remember WF for StB raids was monk dragoon combos ShB brought monks down so we’re going to see what happens in EW to see if monks are getting a powerbuff or not. I’m not exactly a fan of removing positionals on monk for the very reason stated in the article that they help keep players engaged but I’ll see if Master Blitz truly needs the reduction.

  8. Honestly if this was designed for someone whos never played ff to read, it doesn't seem that bad. He definitely traded off detail and deep explanation in favor of readability for people that have never played the game, but aside from him talking about raid buffs and that samurai thing, I thought it was ok.

  9. I don't understand why anybody has this idea that MNK gets reworked every patch. The worse thing about MNK is how the rotation has been virtually unchanged since 2.0 except for like a patch during stormblood when tornado kick was a thing. Every new expansion MNK would get literally useless gimmicky shit to keep up GL for all 5 skills. This is the first somewhat significant rework I've seen for the class and I'd argue the TK rotation was more different than this.

  10. as a dragoon main. WHAT THE FUCK DOES HE MEAN RNG? there is no RNG in our rotation, chaos thrust triggers wheeling into fang, and full thrust triggers fang into wheel. what the fuck was this journo smoking
