Perhaps it's about time that WoW got the A Realm Reborn treatment? Kind of difficult to do right now, given the current state of Blizzards internal affairs….but for WoW to make a proper kind of recovery, I kind of feel like a "2.0" treatment is needed. And I'm not just talking about the game itself; I'm referring to the dev team as well, probably more so them rather than the game itself. There's…..a lot they need to work on, internally. Everyone knows this at this point. But they need to figure out a way to move forward first, if that will even be possible once more and more of the investigation from the State of California comes to light.
Modern Wow is a Mobile game. It just doesn't show the timers, decay, and keys on the UI.
I disagree, wow isn't even remotely challenging FF14. The only people saying otherwise, do so because of nostalgia. This has nothing to do with the current state of wow, it's just collectively a worse game.
It "feels" more responsive and the pvp is better… well at least something i guess
Its always easier to create retention mechanics and grind systems than it is to create new and engaging content.
I hope that the failures of WoW and the demise of Blizzard is an example to the rest of the games industry
he looks super different now.
Modern WoW have really been like a wetblanket over the MMO genre for years now. New players interested in MMO's will be attracted to WoW and then judge the whole genre by that game alone since it's known as the "best" MMO on the market. New players however won't sit there with old nostalgia feels and they will see all the flaws and horrible design choices, quite early. So if the "best" MMO ain't worth it, why would a player even bother checking up the other MMO's that exist?
So yeah, the genre needs a new Nr.1 game and FFXIV ain't a bad contender, since it have good gameplay for new MMO players. A good story, nice community and with the free trial it makes it easier to invite new players into the genre. I on't say FFXIV is perfect and honestly It's not my personal Nr.1 game, but that don't matter as long as the "best" MMO is great at attracting a new generation of MMO players.
i like 14 but mog store is way way way way worse. way way way way way way worse
