  1. When that trailer hit, I kept going through the game wondering when it was gonna pop up, and when it did, it was at this fight and was just absolutely the best moment in Endwalker.

  2. I deadass started shaking during this phase that I legit struggled to do my rotation because I was trying to process everything that was happening. Good times, I absolutely love this boss.

  3. Really disappointed that the EX trial ended up being such a garbage fight and didn't have this theme in it. Really such a shame when it was compared to Hades. So much potential wasted

  4. The moment it enters this phase, it's so satisfying to know that you aren't hearing the Endsinger's boss music anymore.

The Endsinger is hearing YOUR boss music. And the fear is quite apparent.

  5. "Tumbling down to the never" sounds weird without the Shadowbringers lyrics from the medley in Footfalls.

I feel "One brings shadow, one brings light//Two toned echoes tumbling through time" adds context that it just feels wrong without.

  6. I think I screamed audibly when this kicked in, the Tank LB3, the second attack and the fade to black followed by your companions "battle cry", flash of light and then the WoLs boss theme. I was so hype, I literally had an adrenaline rush irl just from this moment.

  7. Man, if only I could do this fight again for the first time. I remember getting SOOOOO mad when doing this because it was launch week and thought we actually wiped since everyone kept dying and it was such a long fight to me 😂. And then this theme hit and I was so energized like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lets gooooooo

Every time I get roulette with this with a newbie, I always say "DAMN, we gotta do it all over again" when the screen goes black 😂 its great to see them fall for it. I used to duty finder this once a week for like a month after

  8. My headcannon will always be the Endsinger's words: "What is this defiance?!" With these words right after "And why do I hear boss music?"

WE are the boss now. WE'VE hit enrage. And now understand why we're called the Champion of Eorzea, the Warrior of Light, and Godslayer as OUR theme, The Maker's Ruin, entwines itself with The Song of Hope.

  9. Hey Endsinger!! Out of all of the emotions you claim to have control over, how does it feel to have those emotions turned against you? Who are we to live? Who are we to hope? This is my answer.

  10. For those who didn't already know, The Makers Ruin IS the theme of the Warrior of Light. It plays when we're making the impossible, possible. It's why the last fight in the Omega raids where they copied us played a remix, because that's OUR theme so of course a version of it would play if they're a copy.

When I was playing this and realized it was a tank and spank until we beat the Endsinger, I started to tear up. This journey, all the things I'd seen and experienced and all the growth and losses and gains and encounters along the journey had culminated in this moment where we were defeating the source of most of our struggles. Watching the final boss losing their composure, knowing that we were the boss now. It reminded me of that post-Heavensward scene with the evil pope being horrified by whatever we must be to so thoroughly defeat them.
