  1. Isn't that funny, M$ with big AI ambitions is unable to make out nuances of actual offending terms and normal words, well, so long these normal words don't get forced out of official words by woke activists due their similarity to bad words and slur.

  2. Just to remind you that Dark Knight job exists as well at its defensive ability- “Blackest Night”. Why MS profanity filter didn’t die yet is a mystery

Classic dawizard shit if I ever saw one

  3. There was a space game that released on the PC a long time out, that had space gates.
You couldn't type into chat "I came out of a gate" without it getting censored.
Bonus points to anyone who sees why.

  4. Correction. The profanity filter issue exists onf PlayStation and pc too. But the setting can be disabled.

Xbox clearly has it worse. But this issue has been around from the profanity filter for a while. Like seriously, and hilarious over clocked. And getting banned are issues xbox exclusive. These need serious addressing. The profanity filter messing with words and going???. Yeah that one isn't new, and is a long repeated complaint.

  5. Honestly as a PC player this doesn't really effect me. It's funny though originally like most 14 Players, I was pretty happy to have more people get to experience the game I love. Though I admit there is part of me now that wishes Square never put it on Xbox. The new players are nice sure, but seeing all the strings attached and how it messes with people's perception of FFXIV with junk like this and FFXIV Coin. I worry that trade off wasn't at all worth it.

  6. Microsoft: I’m sorry we’re gonna have to ban you for using the word Free Company.
Yoshi P: No don’t that! It’s part of the game! They just got the game! No, Don’t! Watches an innocent sprout get banned. Nooooooooo!!!

  7. As a software developer, this is hilarious. They seem to have somehow implemented the most naive filter possible. My guess is that they are just stripping any non-alphanumeric characters from the text first, and then just check if the remaining text contains any "forbidden" sequence of characters. So "harveST Dance" becomes "harveSTDance" which then gets censored for the STD mention 😀
