That moment when he goes "i enjoy grinding in wow" and you see the light in his eyes die. The addiction is real.
People enjoy the Mage Tower because it is challenging. Torghast is designed to be won. You know you're going to beat it before you even start. The same with Warfronts, Island Expeditions etc. Most of the content in WoW cannot be lost and that makes it boring. Sure it is nice that the Mage Tower is not mandatory, but the main thing that makes it popular is the challenge level.
Blizzard are wasting all their time making retainment systems instead of just making new content.

i also think preach is biased, he is someone who hasnt played the game and the game is setup so that you can replay old content, once you actually played the game and arrive at endgame theres fuckall to do that isnt mindless minigames

What I don't like about FFXIV and WoW is that their subscription-based model fucks up with casual players. Why should subscription be based on real-world duration than playtime duration!? It doesn't even make any sense, the main reason behind the subscription is for their servers upkeep and maintenance. Why would my subscription time be all used up even when I'm not playing the game?

There are no NEW players on WoW lol, literally not a single person. And hasnt been so the past 4 years AT LEAST. The only people who play WoW, are the people who've already played WoW. This is why the subscriber number may some time go up, but it will never GO UP. And that's also why subscriber numbers keep going down and down and down. I'm genuinely curious as to what the current number is, it's gotta be the lowest of the low WoW has ever been since its initial release in 2004. I genuinely don't believe that there is any hope left for World of Warcraft even with Microsoft at the helm. The only way to redeem it all is to either do a hard reset with a completely new game, or a soft reset with a significant timeskip.

It's funny how bad wow is at designing new systems. People love advanced, in depth, complicated systems. I wish wows class design was like poe's skill tree. When you first see it, it's overwhelming, but you slowly figure it out through becoming invested in the game. Whether it be trial and error, or looking up some guides, the player is already more engaged than the crap wow puts out.
I felt so super saiyian playing my MNK in Bozja. It was completely nuts.
What Priest isn't mentioning: Because he's a streamer, he has no issues finding a bunch of people to populate effectively dead content with him. The big design flaw of Eureka and Bozja both (Bozja even more so, because the raids are mindnumbing) is that you won't find many people to do it as an average player.
