Leveling a warrior to 80, I think after I’ll do dragoon.
I really appreciate the MSQ warning. I loved the Dragoon cards when i played the FFTCG, i played all of them that i could at max legal copies lol. Here now just looking at the whole bunch of content ive missed since RR launch
My main right now is Lancer even though I've tried Ranger, Arcanist, and Puglist and although I liked them, when I tried Dragoon, I fell in love with it. Especially the Lv 50 armor, which I think is because it looks like the Key Blade Armor from Kingdom Hearts BBS and KH3. I haven't bought the game yet, so I am still level 50 and can't get my 52+ abilities because I am not in Havensward yet, but I really haven't had that much time dyeing. I mean I do die, but usually because I just get screwed by mechanics and have no where to go when 3 AoEs are going off at once, but there has been multiple times where I have saved the part from wiping 😀 which is amazing, so I think that makes up for all the bad.
I will say I do sometimes hit the wrong button and not mean to.
Hey Odin, we were raiding in pf one day in e9s and you showed me your video, my friends and everyone tried to convince me to play dragoon but I won't bc I didn't want to be a floor tank meme. But your video, it inspired me to pick it up and I got it up to 75 in like 3 days before my sub ended I played it in Zadnor and it felt so great, bc as I was levelling monk and whm before I realized every job has it's little intricacies apart from rotation to play and feel and master it which makes it satisfying! When I come back in endwalker I'll give you my dragon sight as a thank you. I main and love scholar and if it someday becomes that popular please make a video on it too!
How could someone not sub after watching this? I can tell that this must have taken a month to make, and I only hope that all that hard work and passion you poured into this pays off. Dragoon is my favorite "job" from Final Fantasy as a whole. It all started with IV, as Kain was just infinitely more cool than Paladin Cecil.
My love for Dragoons also existed in 5 and Tactics, but with the job system their was so much broken stuff to do that using them became harder to justify. Cid cursing about GD Tea also was amazing my preteenaged sense of importance, and Freya was definitely more cool than most characters from IX. Too bad Kimari (or however it is spelled… Who uses that guy) was lame.
Fast forward to MMOs and DRG in XI was just an extension of that fun. In XIV ARR I also started DRG and raided, but realized my static was bad and at the time BLM was easier than doing a 35 button repeated rotation for hours of wipes… Then I fell in love with flare, and realized that not being animation locked while in jumps was amazing. Sad to say when I recently returned to the game I haven't touched DRG, and it kind of makes me sad. The class was just too clunky for a game designed around scripted fights and movement… I will eventually level the DRG again, I mean let's be real, it is aesthetically the best looking class. I just feel XIV missed the mark with the one thing that made jump good in older titles… The immunity aspect. But that would legit break the game. I hope the new skills from 60-80 will rekindle the fire for me though.
