You are up very early, hope the baby starts to sleep through soon.
different healers used to get their rez at different levels, as well, so that was also a reason for it to be different.
You guys should react to Dragon Song Reprise, its really cool.
For the record, crafted items do have the name of the creator.
I'm a 6'1'' girl, so I play female hyur highlander. I know what you mean.
Hey Kyle! Glad to see you were looking into AST more.
A couple of things I noticed:
* You can make a macro for swift+resurrection but the problem is that it will clip your GCD and you therefore do less damage/misaligns your GCD with your cool downs. When you start healing in higher end content this is very noticeable, but in casual content it’s negligible.
* You can make a macro for Earthly Star so it will place under your target. I use this often in high end content where manually placing may be awkward. This will also cause you to clip very slightly but it’s negligible. Another option a lot of high end AST’s will do is turn on the setting for ground targets where you double click the ability and it will set the ground target where your cursor is. This will prevent clipping but it can be hard to get used to if your spell speed is high. Turn that setting on its great for any job that has ground target abilities!
* There is another set of macros that is VERY beneficial to new astros when you’re learning how to do the opener correctly. You can create macros next to the party list for the skill “play”. I do this so that when I click the button next to a player’s name, the card will target that player without me having to target them myself.
You can find an example/guide on how to set this up on the astrologian page on The Balance discord.
* Like others mentioned in your chat, Benefic is pretty much trash as long as you have Benefic II. You will never use it. Helios/Aspected Helios both have their uses. But remember that you only want to use them when Collective Unconscious/Celestial Opposition will not do the job. One other thing you may have missed about Collective Unconscious is that when you press it, it also gives a 10% mit to anyone in the bubble. You can channel the ability, but no one does that in high end content. What you want to do is use it right before an AoE goes out so that you can mitigate the AoE and apply a regen to the party. That way the damage that goes out is less AND everyone gets a regen that should help top them off. Horoscope, like the video stated, is best pressed before you ever need to use aspected Helios/Helios. If you’re gonna cast them, make sure you press Horoscope first. That way you don’t have to spam them. For me, I usually never use Helios unless there’s an upcoming AoE and our HP is too low. Otherwise, use horoscope -> aspected Helios and let your cool downs/regens do the work.
If you have any other questions you can dm me on discord. LyricsTooHeavy#2540. I Can help you set up your UI/hotbars so it best suits you.
sam main here higanbana after midare is optimal. the recast buff does not affect dot damage but does affect the speed of your recast so getting it rolling on the second gcd is a good idea. higanbana first is a situational opener when a boss would leave and lose you dot ticks
