As a new player who started last weekend and is now a paladin, I can confirm all of that. But Paladin armor is only white and shiny because they never use it. So they're virgin because everyone around them dies. You forgot one thing: I can Shirk you and am good at forgetting my tank stance, but only when playing with black mages who are called Kougaon.
Monks are obligated to play Lalas, they just have to punch things 1000 times their size.
Ironically I find BRD more enjoyable than the exaggerated backflips that MCH do. MCH feels super boring with only the serotonin of using Drill. BRD just feels bad to play atm but more fun for me.
