WE'RE GOING TO THE MOON!? | Final Fantasy XIV 6.0 Endwalker Showcase Reaction

THE NEW EXPANSION FOR FINAL FANTASY XIV HAS BEEN REVEALED AND THE NAME IS ENDWALKER. Whoa… Let me calm down for a sec… That’s better. On February 5th, 2021 Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker was revealed to the world in the digital showcase. This video serves as a condensed version of my three-hour stream watching and reacting to all the reveals and new information. It ended up being quite the long video, but hey, it’s all important in my eyes!

  1. Garleans can't use magic, so the Sage job is definitely not Garlean related lol. It's probably Allagan related lol. SCH is a barrier healer, so I kinda like the idea behind having a distinction now that there are 4 healers split evenly between 2 types instead of just 3.

Major edit: upon further lore research, I think sage is Sharlayan in origin bc I think it's been mentioned in the lore that Alphinaud's father is a Sage. Might be wrong tho

  2. I'm interested to see you try WAR/DRK at some point, if you didn't know they're considered the tanky half of the tank role, while GNB/PLD are the DPS half, they also share a lot of aspects like the oGCD damage buff (fight or flight) and the 30s oGCD (spirits within) while DRK/WAR share much more potent healing (unless you could requiescat clemency spam) and their DPS focuses more on short burst windows, since they don't have a long "burst window" like flight or fight (I'm aware that PLD's requiescat is a short burst window but not only is it not very satisfying in comparison but it ends up making up about 15% of your dps anyway, with atonement alone making up >20% despite only being used once every minute) whereas fell cleave is the greatest damage dealer for WAR, making up >30% of it's damage

I don't think a paladin spotlight is going to make people get past the
first oh…. 60 levels? PLD is a 1 2 3 guy until they get royal
authority and even then the rotation isn't that interesting until you
get requiescat, I'm gonna say that PLD is consistently the least
interesting class , not just tank, before 60 (mechanically of course),
after 30, I say after 30 because at least they straight up have more
abilities then DRG in the 3 starter dungeons. That's not to say it's a
bad class though, after all we're comparing it to GNB, "the earbreaker".
