Welcome To A Wumbo Warrior Guide (FFXIV)

Fun fact, it only took me 5 tries to do the opener.
Also part of my soul dies every time I make a tank video.

  1. having two sets of tank gear for two bis seems pointless to me because at that point you already have the whole tier on farm so what are you gearing for? Parse runs?

  2. I had a warrior in my trial, he kept provoking the boss every time provoke got off cd. He didnt even lost the aggro. He just provoked the boss for no reason the entire time

  3. As a a tank main who has 10+ years doing high end content in WOW coming to FF14 and playing a tank I feel like its easier in the since there seems to be alot more mitigation options but harder in the since of management of said mitigation options. And I love it alot can officially say I have jumped from WOW and am now a ff14 tank main.

  4. Here's a neat little thing I found out – Inner Release actually causes your Vengeance damage to crit. Popping those two cooldowns in giga-trash packs makes ALL the big numbers appear

  5. I’m confused as to why I like Warrior so much, I mean I have always played the harder jobs, Monk in 1.0 and 2.0, Summoner at shadowbringer launch, ninja now, all my jobs have definitely been the harder jobs. But comparatively I’d say I love Warrior and Dark Knight much more than the other two tanks

  6. I loved the "wrinkles of your brain getting smoother " I have played ffxi for a very, very long time and even in that game their was a huge difference of how you tanked… even though my PLD was a tank and I was WAR dps (war/nin)

  7. I was playing back in Heaven's ward and I will say the only time I thought about macros was having one to countdown when Holmgang buff is wearing off.
Just cause I was in a group with a WHM and BRD duo that kicked me cause the healer went oom when I did a wall to wall pull bring 4 – 5 groups spamming heal when Holmgang was up.

  8. I've been gone for a couple of years and resubbed today and going back to my lvl 60 warrior. Watching this video made me feel queezy due to completely forgetting just about everything about the class and the rotation.

  9. Oh god, I didn't know you before today, but you're finally the very first guy to admit that Holmgang is strictly better than any other invuln IF you can abuse the cooldown. I've had to deal with so many lesser apes who couldn't comprehend the truth, and that's coming from a warrior main ape.

You earned a follow good sir.
