  1. I think nerfing the fairy skills had to happen, a good sch has been a powerhouse for healing for a long time. I am curious to see what content will need that many different types of shields and how sage will compare. But I have always loved sch the best and I don't see that changing.

  2. So…..better adlo is all? Thats just…sad. I mean its serviceable ultimately but its just more boring really then anything else. The buff to art of war is the best thing besides the Adlo buff but…well i am honestly dissappointed.

  3. Still a shame to see the nerfs to fairy heals again… They're going above and beyond to make SMN a more pet-orientated job now, it would've been interesting to see more of that applied to SCH.

  4. Yeah, I was pretty much thinking that Scholar was getting more changes than shown in the job action trailer. The Job action trailer pretty much just shows what is new visually, You generally won't see any big major changes to spells and such. I.E. Adloquium getting a pretty big increase to it's barrier creation portion of the spell and Aetherflow getting like double the mana back now. That kind of stuff will keep me playing scholar, though I may still switch to Sage because I thin I might like that style of healing more.

  5. Other jobs dont have much change either. Mostly just one or 2 new skills. We just got blinded by the summoner rework. I think WHM got like 2 new skills and just upgraded versions of existing ones.

  6. Sage can't summon Eos, this is why I choose to remain a SCH. Also, it is my favorite Healer. It kinda just seems like they added some QoL skills that SCH really needed, and the lv.90 skill could be fun to use all memes aside. I'm excited to give it a try, if not I have the other three healers to try out as well.

  7. I hope they adjust the numbers on the fairy skills. I just don't understand why they nerfed the healing fairy does since it's a core part of SCH's kit.

  8. I think the new additions are actually pretty cool and the other upgrades are nice and seem to align with what other jobs are getting across all the roles. More stronger shields that we can use Deployment on is nice. However, my excitement is still tempered by the lack of more changes to older Scholar abilities such as Dissipation and the absence of another tool to help break up the Broil spam. I don't think we need a full on rotation or anything like that, but something to help give the offensive side a bit more texture along with Energy Drain (and Chain Stratagem) would be appreciated. Not sure how you do that with how many buttons Scholar has though.

  9. Coming from WoW, I'm excited for Expedient, especially since FFXIV fights shouldn't be built expecting it (as WoW fights are). Thanks for going over these! I like Art of War spamming so I'm pretty happy about that, though I'm a little iffy about some of the changes.

I've been loving Scholar and am really hoping I don't just become a lesser Sage.
