Oooh good luck with the project! Narrating all the quest dialogue is tough (we narrated ARR Hildibrand last year and more recently the post-Stormblood quests over the past few months) but I think it brings a lot of life to the story. Have a great new year!
I created a simple plugin for ACT that uses TTS system to read the character dialog. My project was suppose to be able to have 2 male voices and 2 female voices within an instance/scene. The trigger point was the biggest hurdle in the project and even if I do get it to work, the entire project seems to be a waste of time to be honest. But it was a cool concept for me. I didn't go too far in this project sadly. Good luck with yours.
Idk how far you've gotten, but there are a few… implications that may be nsfw Specifically in Little Ala Mhigo comes to mind Also man, I really have to respect your mindset for this, I've been debating doing this, rather I've wanted too, but I dont have the time
I'm a very brand-new player to FFXIV. I'm excited to see this because I LOVE the lore so far, I'm attached to the characters. And I cried at the end of ARR. Really, really hard.
I really cannot wait to see it. I'm ready to bawl my eyes out again.
Some of the FF14 voice acting is good, but some is pretty bad. I don't doubt you can do as good a job as we get on average. On a related note, have you ever bothered to read the conversations that take place among NPCs as you run around in the open world, do FATEs, etc.? If not, you should. You might feel less self-conscious if you imagine someone in the room to whom you are reading. I practice voice acting by reading to my cats.
I'm currently replaying thru ARR using new game + because it has been years since I played thru it. I only have the one character that I do everything on so I never played thru ARR multiple times. Kudos to you for doing this because it's a huge undertaking.
This game desperately needed more voice acting.. The amount of reading they expected from us is very off putting to me. — They make more than enough money to higher a few voice actors for important roles during an expansion.
They really didn't need voice actors for every language in the game. – Square Enix could have just made it possible for us to use some type of text speech. There's actually great voices now for this.. It's something I would've definitely used in the game.
Reading ARR is quite an undertaking, best of luck to you.
Excited to see where this will go! I’m glad you took on a project that would have made the experience better for you 🙂
Looking forward to it. As you say, I'll have it in the background to develop and even better appreciation for the game!
This is going to be interesting
I'm excited for the first episode and while it may be a huge project, I feel you'll do a fantastic job. 🙂 Happy new year!

I'm excited about this project since I'm a new player that is near the end of ARR now. What do you say instead of 'we must needs…' LOL.
Damn dude! That is an ambitious undertaking. Good for you and best of luck!
rip your voice after this series. I'll be tuning in though since i skip all the story in game due to my limited time

This is a cool video idea. But extremely time consuming so thank you.
