“Final Fantasy XIV[b] is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for Microsoft Windows personal computers, developed and published by Square Enix in 2010. It is the fourteenth entry in the main Final Fantasy series and the second MMORPG in the series after Final Fantasy XI. Final Fantasy XIV takes place in a high fantasy setting. In response to the Empire’s threat, the three nations of Eorzea reform the Grand Companies, comprehensive centers of command which combine the cities’ military and economic assets. Expecting the long con and getting this.
I'm pretty sure Urianger says post ARR that his reasons for being secretive and double-dealing Ascians is because he is trying to honor Moenbryda. He feels she gave up something for them all to continue with their fight while he sits and reads books. I think it's obvious he feels that if he were more present, maybe she wouldn't have been killed and blames himself. He was trying to be more active in the fight in his own way after that.

Other games, even big RPGs, don't usually have several mega libraries worth of text in them, sooo…. I know you really just don't want to read for whatever reason, but that shit costs money my guy. You gonna pay for all that? Voice actors may not be top bill like stage actors but they still demand a hefty price for quality. Not everyone wants to pay double the box price for a few more spoken words like Kro does… Demand perfection is a horribly toxic mind set given perfection doesn't exist, and constantly hearing it makes it hard to want to keep watching. I know Krojak doesn't care, and he very well shouldn't since, who am I even, but damn does it suck hearing it all the time.
The reason I'm not worrying about future expansions to be lack luster is because I expect the next couple to be exactly that. Every expansion they prove they're not afraid to dial it back so they can crank it back up later. Something WoW never did, which is why it got old.
Well, you're right about the long play, but it was the writers' not Urianger's.
