Loved to hear your thoughts on this second part, can't wait till you get through the final part 3 video.
With regards to the "great Goobue wall" there is dialog in the ARR quests somewhere that specifically mentions that, I can't remember if it was a side quest or one of the MSQ but I never knew that it actually happened during 1.0 until I watched this documentary.
One other thing that is really awesome regarding the transition into ARR, when I started it for the first time I was unknown to everyone and just a new adventurer but the legacy players had a history with all of those characters we meet in ARR so instead of being treated like someone new those players are actually treated as old allies and friends when playing through ARR; I thought that was a neat thing that Square did to show that "yes you were there through all of it and we thank you".
I really wish I was playing through 1.0 but I never purchased the game even though I saw it and was curious about it however I doubt any of the PCs I used at that time would have been able to even run the game. If it was possible to play the original 1.0 story I would love to, like if instead of making the original 1.0 playable bring the story of 1.0 into the current game since what we have now is far superior to what it started as, I think that would be neat even if it was just a special anniversary event I want to play that first story and see or interact with characters that are only mentioned in ARR and beyond but nothing much else is done with them.
