  1. I'm a 2 year veteran of the game and while I knew all this, I have to say this is probably one of the best intro vids for new players I've ever seen–gonna forward this to a friend who I'm trying to get into the game to ease their anxiety about learning all the systems. Instant sub, can't wait to see how your channel will develop. 🙂

  2. Thank you, I started playing two weeks ago wanted to try something new after years from playing WoW and there is a lot of things I don't yet understand, I also watched a video before this one and they told I should skip everything but the MSQ so I haven't done any blue quest do I have to go back and do everything? Also regarding the materia thing how are you extracting it?

  3. Have a like; HOWEVER to new players. PLEASE DO NOT THINK THE FC CHEST IS YOUR BANK! the FC chest is for your WHOLE FREE COMPANY not just for you. Meaning if your part of a hundred or so FC then they may ALL want to use it for trading, helping other players, guild leader dishing out things to do if your FC is a crafter fc etc etc etc etc!

EDIT: LITTLE TIP ON MATERIA and *all* items in the game. Hover over the item and look at the bottom for *sells for: __ * it will say how much a vendor will purchase it from you for. If the market board is the same OR LESS in terms of whats on their think about selling it at a vendor. And think about taking it off the market board to make some small amounts of cash *watch out for market tax!!!!*

  4. I've noticed a slight stat difference between races but the difference is so small it doesn't matter. An example though is that a pugilist miqo'te had 85hp at lvl 1 while a pugilist viera had 100 hp

  5. It's funny .. most of these videos are made by people that to me, still feel like a new player. 1700 hours LOL. I'm at almost 20,000. BUT that being said .. this is one of the few that doesn't feel like a mess of things with no order or level of importance. So many fill them up with stuff that sure while maybe useful at some point are just random. Your video actually explains 10 key features in a quick and efficient way without so much extra blah blah blah. Good job

  6. I have my armory chest 'sort' code in a macro keybound to one of my hotbars. I makes it faster for me to sort at a moments notice when I need my mouse for other things while trying to see when in my armory chest.
Thank you for the retainer storage extended tip, I didn't know about that. I'm going to set it up after the current 24-hr maintenance day.

  7. Hey man I just want to let you know good job. I have played final fantasy from the very beginning and I still don't know what to do most of the time.
I'm here for a story cuz I love all the final fantasies.
But after I hit that level cap I don't really care about the relic weapons so it's hard to find a group of people they just kind of want to do something

  8. good stuff! Sub'd. Been playing MMO's almost exclusively since 2000. Started FF14 almost 3 years ago now, and super hooked. And, 3 years in, I still learn about stuff almost daily, if not weekly. such a rich with content game! and, in 23 years of marriage, the first game I play with my wife. We dabbled for the first 6 mos as we learned more and more, then started what remain as our mains.. 2.5 years later, we are omni 90's.. doh/dol/combat, etc. we do almost all the things, other than current savage tiers.

  11. Would like to point out that "An Ill-conceived Venture" Quest unlock retainer venture, not retainer, you already have the ability to employ 2 retainer when you complete the aforementioned lvl 17 msq quest. Guessing the goal was to not make it too complex about the gear naming convention, like there's 7 distinct gear "type" for armor pieces, but only 5 for accessories, slaying for (maiming jobs + striking jobs) and aiming for (aiming jobs + scouting jobs) + fending, casting and healing.

  12. Just sent to a couple of friends who picked up the game but got overwhelmed so they play sporadically. These tips are amazing and so cleanly laid out in a way I can't manage myself, thank you so much for this

  14. Figuring those things out is what makes it fun to play at first. You are seeing a MMO and thinking how can we RUIN it by treating it like it's playing Call of Duty or League of Legends or Chess. Yes, that type of games does tend to work better if you start out knowing the rules, but even chess is a journey, from n00b to grand master. There is a reason why there is "no leveling" games and then there is journey is the game and you can ruin the fun of the journey with stupid videos.
