  2. THe problem with doing a wow constant redoing of the start is that each of there story lines are all over the F place with no good red string. So no id dont think FF 14 should or could do that without hurting the narrative thats key to what makes the game a way beter story then wow.
And the reason that all the expansion and now Shadowbringers were so good Jesse is cus you have the realm reborn ground work leading in to the rest.
With out it you get wow skipping true story and have no clue whats going on.

  3. Lore wise it makes sense for male viera to be pretty boys. They are supposed to be indistinguishable from females until later in life. I’m sure they’ll say the near destruction of the world was enough for them to leave the forests they guard and join the outside world.

  4. viera tend to be genderfluid in appearance so like. . . 1. i know now why i gravitate towards them (hi nb person here) 2. i get why the male viera still look kinda feminine.

  5. So the weird colored rocks and stuff on Thavnair are actually a special type of stone called Giantsgall — it is characterized by its extraordinary hardness and strength. It's said in lore that a Far Eastern hero long ago came to Thavnair and slew a giant — and when he did so the stones of the island soaked up the giant's blood and gall and became what they are now.

Giantsgall weapons were a thing way back in 1.0 and still exist in ARR, and they have the same distinct coloring.

    I am sorry but no.
It is an amazing slow intro that is perfect for FFXIV, the opening is amazing, it sets up your character that is a no one when he comes to Eorzea, you help people, do levequests, do "boring" stuff because WHY would they let you in Praetorium if you didn't slowly build yourself up from delivering things to doing levequests to doing guildhests to doing GC quests to joining the Scions and doing mandune stuff for them to beating tempered people to approach beast tribes to beating Primals to beating garleans to going to castrums to avenging your fellow adventurers to basically doing the whole stuff ARR is and THEN going to Praetorium and beating Gaius.
It slowly builds up until you are the Warrior of Light. And then Ascians approach you, and events go from there.

If the beginning is not as it is, then there is no impact to becoming a Warrior of Light. Everything after just wouldn't work.

Just like if they deleted the AMAZING 2.1 – 2.5.

I am tired of this revisionist history that somehow ARR is bad and boring.

It isn't. It is the best out of all XIV Chapters. It sets up the whole future and World and characters. I wish people would stop trying to take it away from me. They already managed to bully the development team into gutting it by removing tons of Quests….

THAT SAID, your suggestion about a new beginning is amazing.
NG+ is there for those that want to play the original SAGA after playing 7.0.

  7. 35:55 Zenos wasnt the first bad guy to have a new job, Gaius was a gunbreaker in ARR before that was added. Although he did become good. So who knows what twists and turns they will have in Endwalker.

  8. yoshi is the best. you guys are right no other company leadership does what he does, showing off the pin again, etc 🙂

zenos will be a scion. they either made a mistake or a purposely slip. the picture of the scions, has zenos in it. I can see him joining because the scions are a mirror image of the council of 14. 13 wanted zodiark then us (the wol), now its a flip all wol with zenos. the potential is there. the whole game is about balance. without balance ruin results and zenos is the wol balance.

  9. Prediction: We fight Zenos, but it's after both Zodiark and Hydaelyn are absorbed by us, and it "spends" the gathered Dark and Light in order to return the aether to the Source. After, Zenos remains alive, becoming the Warrior of Darkness in order to counterbalance our Light. It is noted by Elidibus that after Bahamut's Calamity, the Source "listed dangerously towards Darkness, and threatened to go over the brink"—in other words, the Source was on the verge of a Flood of Darkness that would have consumed it as completely as it did the Thirteenth, until we showed up to start killing primals and fighting Garlemald.

After we beat the Final Days, if we kill both Zodiark (the embodiment of Darkness) and Zenos himself, we would be tremendously at risk of a Flood of Light, just like the First suffered—the only way to maintain balance is if there's Darkness to equalize our Light. Zenos will become a necessity, a dark reflection of ourselves.
