Timeline of Destruction – The FFXIV Dungeon Boss That DESTROYED Groups

In 2013, dungeon difficulty was in a completely different state to current-day FFXIV. The developers meant for you to fail 2/3 times before overcoming the challenge, however, after a certain dungeon boss destroyed the FFXIV community over and over, Square Enix had to step in.

Let us explore what just happened back in those days.

  1. It's good someone can explain the Demon Wall to anyone who joined late in ARR or later. If you were using the Duty Finder and not playing with friends it wasn't uncommon for the group to just give up.

  2. I miss the old difficulty in Casual Content. I think it's better to force people to improve their play, instead of giving them everything for free. SE needs to train the players little by little to get them ready for Savage/Ultimates. It was never too hard in the first place, so i don't understand the nerfs at all.

  3. The wall wasn't that hard back then, but I guess I never did it outside of my FC. The biggest issue though was for EU players the 300 ms everyone was playing with due to servers actual location. The dps check was pretty brutal on top of that.
