That hair style is supposed to look like an onion, not a turnip. Its a reference to Final Fantasy 3's Onion Knight. The Lalafel is the carryover of Final Fantasy 11's Taru-taru, which had the same hairstyle as an option, and their petite size was reminiscent of the old style battle sprites of characters from the NES and SNES games of old. And with FF3 being the introduction of both the Onion Knight and the job system, it was particularly fun to see Tarus running around in job-armor for various iconic FF jobs, and having them look a bit like the old-school combat sprites from the childhood days.
I guess this was my "ak-shoo-uh-lee" moment >_>;;;;
Hey I hope you read this. I played WoW for 14 years. From vanilla to bfa. The start of ffxiv is boring and any die hard ffxiv fans who tell you otherwise are lying to you. But once these characters get laid out and they finally get going it turns into one of the most amazing gaming journeys I have ever been on. There is a reason ffxiv has a cult following it just takes some time to get there. I hope you enjoy your journey!
A friend linked this to me, and you have a new subscriber now. This video made me grin like crazy since your experiences as a new player reminds me of how I reacted as a newbie (though in my case, I didn't have much MMO experience compared to you). Welcome to the game 🙂
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome <3 I will be streaming more of my adventure on http://www.twitch.tv/Eiya !!!
"Is this some ERP going on right here?" 😂😂😂
welcome to eorzea, buckle up.
I hate that they havent put 2:33 cutscene in the unending journey
Even if you want to focus on the MSQ, be sure to do your job quests, as that'll unlock abilities and is what will let you become a Dragoon eventually.
Also, there are some side content that is worth exploring, so don't be afraid of getting distracted!

"This is all because they put a sword in a rock!?"

Welcome new MEAT! Hope you brought a box of tissues……I sure did and everything still hits no matter who plays.
Welcome to the community. Did you watch the opening cinematic?
If you skip anything do it offscreen so the msq crazies don't lose it on you.
People hate lalafells because of what goes down in Ul'dah
Just wait till you learn that there is a housing system
