Eyo Krile! Such a lovable introduction to her character.
Also, don't worry about not being special. They often use the echo and blessing of light interchangeably, but there are some fine details that differentiate them. Without giving away any future story bits I'll just say you are by far the strongest source of both of those.

First and foremost, to see Alphi getting roasted for being short by a lalafell, it's one of the best moments.
After that, Artoirel saying that his "shield won't break"… too soon game, too soon.
Also I don't know if it's just me, but Vidofnir always gave me this sort of "stern, yet caring mother" vibe that makes me really like her.

Here's a fun fact about Maelie:
She is one of the very first NPCs that you saw when you entered Ishgard for the very first time. And she has also been present in many of the cutscenes which took place in Ishgard that showed children in them.
So many great little moments in this patch, and those teasers at the end!
I think the moment I realized I really liked Aymeric was during this patch content. I was so mad that they might be killing him off. Then that moment between him and Count Edmont at the end is just so touching.

They were making a lore reason for the zones to still be filled with dragons to fight, despite the peace. Nidhogg's brood is still fighting, but Ishgard is still at peace with the rest.
As someone who grew up around theater, Edmont's speech as they show Aymeric in the alley always gets me – repeating "honorable men" is directly from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. "For Brutus is an honourable man; So are they all, all honourable men."
I always felt bad for Emmanellain, being a noble in this society can be as crushing and depressing as being a lowborn. You never get to fulfill your own dreams or love who you want to love without damaging your house. They are as much forced into a unwanted role as everyone else in the old Ishgard. Bet many nobles turned out like him cause they are trapped in this golden cage.
Ah, yes, Krile and Y'shtola roasting Alphinaud in the same episode. Awesome XD
Also, Krile is a reference to FFV's Galuf Baldesion and his granddaughter Krile.
Also Warriors of Darkness. They will play quite a role later, you will know when this will happen. Especially their Warrior who is, to say by his look, should be an antithesis to your character. But that verges on spoiler territory.
And yes and no, while you're farthest from being only person who has the Echo, there are other qualities that make WoL a special snowflake in the midst of other people.
And nah, Thancred didn't loose an eye, he just has edgy drip.
And Artoirel stopped being just ok Character and became great one like he should.
That scene with Urianger… Well, Triad is not just some words, haha. Soon.
Ha! This is why I feel at home in Ishgard.
Matoya is a character in ff1; shes a witch in a cave with magicked brooms just the same. also, the round Crystal of Light thats super powerful they talk about; fun fact but the crystals in ff1 were round orbs. 😛
