  1. Good. World first races are impossible to be fair competitions as long as gameplay-automating third party tools (automatic call-outs, timers, network package analyzers, etc) are tolerated, and it certainly also has a negative effect on a big chunk of the rest of the savage- / ultimate-raiding community.

  2. Its a hard topic tbh. I do believe that things like callouts from mechanics shouldnt be allowed since its a) cheating and b) makes you depend on those. Like Ilya said as example ucob. Many ppl those days cant do nael without callouts from act because they relay 100% on it and dont pay attention to the qoutes anymore. But on the other hand, things like g-shade, normal use of act to see the dps numbers and some body mods (not the lewd ones) shouldnt be a bann reason since it only improves the game. What makes me sad is that the ppl who cried to yoshi about the third party tools, the same ppl are who get jealous about the world first raiders and/or dont understand how those callouts are made/used. They see it as cheating and square will always listen to the casuals :/

  3. I have an issue with how the post was worded. It says "Use of tools that allow players to more easily complete content.", which can literally be anything, from a second screen showing a powerpoint slide of the mechanics, to actual plugins that make callouts, or even having communication tools like discord voice chat.

Clearly, there are certain "tools" that are generally agreed upon to be "fair game" like discord, and certain stuff that crosses the line, and I think YoshiP needs, as difficult as it may be, to list out every single plugin that is OK, and also ones that are obviously not OK. Everything else that is not listed will fall into the grey danger zone of possibly getting suspended/banned.

  4. It's very simple, if there is a mid core player that is able to clear savage content without using any addons or act, SE can ban all these add on users anytime and I am super fine with that.

  5. Good take on the subject. I use XIValexander because my ping when playing the game is 150+ which makes double weaving impossible without clipping. Can they still ban me for using it without me ever mentioning it?

  6. Please do take a look at Xeno's take! One of the really good points he makes is the Dev's team wishy-washyness/Flip-flopping, or refusal to demarcate a line for streamers to clarify their stance. Because in the very same announcement, they admit that the community-created QoL mods for HUD info customization is superior and enjoyed by many users for enhancing their experience, so one of their goals AS A RESULT OF THIS is to start working towards implementing further HUD/GUI customization.

Yet in the recent 5ch brigading of the japanese streamer (as Xeno emphasizes, we don't have the full context, were they or were they not actually being toxic towards anyone in the raid group, which by itself is sus, because when you're in the zone for an ultimate why tf would you or anyone else GAF about numbers), they were banned by SQENIX and as far as we could tell, prior to getting gaol'd, they had various HUD enhancements visible on stream.
Even more suspiciously, in the surrounding discussion, I myself have yet to hear any backlash over any tangible evidence of this streamer being toxic, which is what Yoshi's team in the past had at the very least, made a clear black and white distinction on.
But now? They changed their stance yet again, and are just throwing this streamer under the boss hoping the masses keep the veil over their heads and don't call out the pure bullshit hypocrisy of this action.

Also another point of utter dogshit, is that Yoshi officially declared their game's world race as "Unofficial" to the company or dev team, so since they don't want any responsibility over maintaining any sort of facade or illusion that they are acting as "judges" or "arbiters" of "who gets the WF win", how does their opinion on how WF raid teams conduct themselves in regards to the clear matter anymore? If none of the raid teams care about or they all unanimously agree, that using any tool to provide an advantage is valid is of any/no concern, why TF should these raid teams care about the comapny behind the game, when the company declared that the concept of a WF race is "unofficial", and thus not willing to be the forefront of the PR of it?
kinda like with splatoon, before Nintendo of JP or NA made any sort of official tournaments, the players, the community of elites and pros decided for themselves how they wanted to metagame the competition, and there was not a peep about any sort of 3rd party (because there was only VC, but even if there were, you get the point), and neither Nintendo nor the dev team nor the community made as so much a peep about "fairness" because the community of elites already decided amongst themselves what was and what wasn't (stages and ranked modes) "competitive".
(as an example, in Splatoon 1, Saltspray rig was banned because of right-side peeking – it provided an unfair advantage to one team over the other)

That whole last section just amplifies the bullshit of this message even more, TL;DR. A clear's a clear, baby.

  7. I dont think these plugins are bad in itself except the cheating ones ofc

I hope square really does what they say and improve the game so theres no need of using them

  8. Unfortunately you overlaid footage of the ultimate over this video which means I now have to tab to a different screen to listen to what you have to say. I know its probably not your main concern but in the future I would humbly ask that you do not overlay brand new content over discussion videos, as you have views who enjoy doing content blind. Either that or please put a spoiler warning or something at the start of your video so that we know we should tab over to a different screen so we don't learn any information about the fight.

Anyways I am going to do exactly that now and just hope that at the end of the video there aren't any spoilers when I tab back in to change which video I am watching…
