  1. What I see from time to time is people forget line of sight. Some enemies miss if you go behind cover mid cast. In world of darkness 24 man if you get targeted by atomos you can jump off the piller and it won't suck you in. I've had a team get sucked in because their mind was blown that was even a thing.

  2. I was done with EW before I was told about flashing bars = interruptable and a blue bar above a condition means it can be removed via Esuna/Esuna-like abilities

    Bonus Point for the Arm's Length thing: IT WORKS THIS WAY ON DPS THAT HAVE IT!

    So if the tank goes down and you pull aggro as the DPS while the Healer rezzes, hit Arm's Length to help buy time.

  3. Thing that took me too long to learn: When withdrawing Gil from a retainer, you don't have to type the max number in. You can just hit the down arrow once and it will roll over from zero to the max number. Same thing works when you want to buy max of something from a vendor.

  4. small commment on the bard topic.. in their previous online title FFXI. you would possition your party such that the bard was able to preform, one buff for the tank, one buff for the melee, and a 3rd for the ranged and healers behind. mana regen/attack speed, magic defence. so i can i totaly see, having that mentality, would shape how you play the game ^^;

    i havent started macros yet (starting EW next week). so im sure there will be alot of "today i learned" after i go down that rabbithole ^^;

  5. An offshoot to this video could be interesting where you can show people all the cool easter eggs hidden away in the game world that they might have missed now we're in Endwalker. Things like the Void Ark hidden in the Sea of Clouds during certain weather. Or Edda's ghost. Even little touches people might not realize like Haurchefant's grave, or the wrap up quests for Heavensward and Stormblood. There's a lot of "hey this is neat" stuff that you wouldn't ever notice if you just started playing in the last few years and beelined through the MSQ.

  6. IMO the tomestone vendors are needlessly complicated to find what you want sometimes, especially the older ones. I would much rather talk to the servant of splendor standing beside the main city aetherytes since they are stupid simple. Just click an job type and then the type of gear you want and bam, instantly get a list of all the tomestone or raid gear for your selected job.

  7. You can stun Ifrit (Hard) to prevent plumes and eruption from coming out. 2.0 strat was to have PLD focus entirely on shield bashing eruption because people struggled to avoid it back then

  8. I was today years old when I found out about purchasing Aetheryte tickets with allied seals and centurio seals smh all that gil… 🤓 although I only came back before Endwalker was released and was only in Heavensward but still all that gil…. 😭

  9. The story about flaming the BLM for not raising.. I can't even count how many times I had ppl flame me (on RDM) in Dun Scaith, first boss, for not raising xD (For those who are also not aware – it's a level 60 raid and RDMs only get raise at level 64 :p )

  10. that first one got me. And, unlike Happy, I am a crafter.
    Now, something that freaked me out when I found out that people may not know. If you press LB+trouchpad on a controller you hide your hud. I was in the middle of a raid and did it by accident (damn fat fingers)

  11. 7:39 Pro Tip: To create rotating or menu bars, this can be used to copy class hotbars (i.e. those that appear on jobs wearing no job crystal) onto job or shared hotbars. Since your job doesn't go away when you sync down, accidentally going back is never an issue unless you manually unequip the crystal. You basically have 90 free hotbars to build whatever setups you want, just build specific layouts in a class or copy them over from other jobs/DoH/DoL, set up macros to copy them back onto the original job or shard bars with a click, and you're good to go.
    Edit: Also as a note, the shared bars overlay over your regular bars, but are treated as separate bars. So for every shared bar you use, you effectively gain another 31 or so bars (one for each job) you can use for setup, if for whatever reason you need more.

  12. I don't think you need going to inns that much. The barracks (squadron room) has an armoire and a glamour dresser. You can buy glamour stones and dispellers near the door. It does not have the bed or the video watcher or other inn bedroom amenities, though

  13. I gotta say changing the bard song skills to something similar to Ninja mudra system is something I wouldn't be mad at… I know Nin's system is unique but I very much like that for bard to add sort of a rhythm to the class

  14. Well today is the day I realized that the teleport tickets were indeed affordable and cheap to get. Eventhough I have more than enough of gil, could've saved plenty of it by buying those ages ago.
