Due to lose laws about copying, it's a legit form of a business tactic over in China. There's an old saying my father used to tell me, "You know you've made it when China copies your work."
China is mandarin for "Knock off"
and i thought ff 14 trailer etc. is copyright. Even for overwatch they copy the hole gameβ¦.. well so much for the topic of copyright >_>
Unfortunately copyright laws in China just never hits the penalty line hard enough for companies to care. The profit they gain is still much much more than any penalty if at all. Cases like these usually run for a really long time and usually whoever owns the copyright never have the time and effort to sue the other party. It really sucks but there is also little care in the majority of consumers who are usually casual players and not really of the general gaming community to know enough to care. A lot of Chinese players do care and are enraged by this but their actions to stand against purchases for these companies usually wage little against the huge wave of profit. The ultimate truth, unfortunately, is that Chinese culture goes down in a long history of not being used to the idea of "paying $$ for entertainment"(games, tv, etc.) and they really just don't care what happens as long as the shit is for free. It's very sad.
