One of the most exciting parts of 6.0 Endwalker was our travels to the ends of the great expanse, and learning about all the other worlds Meteion had encountered.

I thank you so much for watching this video.
My channel is focused on player perspective content, gameplay, theory’s and importantly game lore for Final Fantasy XIV.
As this channel has grown my goals have evolved but ever do they remain the same, the creation of videos that mean to bring a smile to a viewers face or provide them with even one piece of useful information.
I mean to live up to these goals and the time you have taken to watch my content.

Dunno but I always thought the Greek numbering Tria, Pente and the others are not really Meteion sisters names, more like a simple designation to label the planets they'd encountered. Like Hena is labeled as such because its the first planet a Meteion sister encountered, Okto being the eight planet a sister encountered and so on, etc.
Considering all the talk of otherwordly travels, Endwalker desperately needs a Jenova fight.
I was so sad at the end either for meteion who really touched him, or because it felt like the end of this magnificent 10-year adventure, or at the end of the fight against zenos I believed for a few seconds that our character go die, I was sad to defeat our goddess of light etc etc…
Tossing this one out, but might it be possible that Omega was not built by the Omicrons, but rather it showed up on their world, and they proceeded to build their society based on Omega's tech and one-up everyone else on their world before venturing out?
wyrm was you ever on phoenix before? you name seems familiar from a long time ago.
Thank you for doing this. I was enthralled by he lore beyond the collections of dead stars out in the universe. I love a good lore tour like this. I could never stop and read anything cause of the W2W stuff, but very cool. Interesting is our star the only star left? Correct?
The known universe being limited to Etheirys and its shards isn't entirely true, we already knew that the dragons and Omega hailed from somewhere far away, and the Ultima Seraph from the Ivalice raids is apparently another kind of extra-dimensional entity from an unknown place (though that could potentially be refering to another shard).
Granted, these elements are somewhat hidden in optional content and unknown to the people of Etheirys at large.
Omega appeared in those games, the suggestion is that we are fighting the same omega from those games. Gilgamesh supports the idea of beings that exists in multiple games in the franchise
I didn't think Deka-Okto was the name of a sister. I think they were all named Meteion. "Deka" seems to be a misspelling of "deca" the prefix for 10. "Okto" would be "Octo" meaning 8. Together, Deka-Octo would be 18, and according to the Sightseeing Log for that area, the Dragonstar was the 18th world Meteion encountered. If you check the other areas of Ultima Thule and their respective Sightseeing Logs, this pattern continues. I think they are not names of the sisters, but Meteion numerating and labelling the worlds they encountered in chronological order.
Hold on. I thought a few did follow Midgardsormr’s example to escape to other stars from the dialogue in the MSQ, but they met tragedy on the worlds they did end up on. Not a lot mind you, just a few. Am I mistaken?
Omega did visit the other FF worlds. Just like gilgamesh, Omega is usually the same being found across FF games, unlike Cid or Biggs and wedge who appear in some fashion but markedly different in each game
I really hope we visit Dragonstar, present and past.
I want to know how Dragonstar is now after Meteion's sister visited it and what Paradise Dragonkin lost and mourn with them.
Looking back at the Omega story in SB, the story of Midgardsormr and his brood in HW etc, we can already see the knowledge of these civilisations being planted and I was left with this amazing feeling of the story coming full circle when I reached Ultima Thule. It was just so beautiful and tragic. Truly amazing world building and story development from the FFXIV team.
I felt so bad for Hermes and Meteion, he created her to find other worlds to share experiences with and for some reason Meteion only found the ones that had already gone or were in the process of being destroyed. Imagine what could've happened if flourishing worlds had been found instead. There would've been no need for any Final Days, no need for Zodiark or Hydaelyn to be summoned and countless Ascian lives would be spared. What would the lore and story of 14 be like then? A "what if" storyline would be really interesting to see.
I can't stop thinking about that one planet she reached where a god like being destroyed everything and everyone else on it, she asked it the meaning of life and it just killed itself instead of answering. Mostly because I saw a shitpost that depicted it. But still, interesting to think about.
I appreciate the meta the theme has with the endgame of games in general. There are many worlds that stagnate because they ran out of things to work toward or realized that it's just pointless because it's all for nothing.
An example would be the fear that this was the end of FFXIV because they said it was the end of the Zodiark arc and some people misunderstood. So they feared they would run out of things to do. Another example would be my view of games like Diablo. The endgame revolves around an ever increasing difficulty and getting better gear to deal with the increased difficulty. It's an endless cycle that ultimately doesn't matter. (That being said, the true purpose is fun and I in no way imply that those games are bad because of this.)
Luckily for us, if we run out of things to do in any given game we can move on to another. Which relates to our WoL's side. For every obsticle we overcome, for every foe beaten, for every heroic task preformed, we are never satisfied. There's always a new adventure. Always a new hope. Always a new goal. Even if we don't know what form it will take, we know it's out there, and we know it's coming.
can we talk about how absolutely flawed the Ea's thinking was? To claim that you learned/know everything that there can or will be to know ((which is in itself proven false by their own admission of not being able to return to physical bodies)) in what is essentially still the zygote*1 of the universe is beyond comprehensive levels of arrogance AND ignorance.
*1 even if the heat death of the universe is how it all ends ((which is more or less what is believed will happen to our own universe)) the estimated life of the universe in years is predicted to be greater than the number of ATOMS that it CONTAINS before it reaches that point.
They literally gave up with what amounts to crumbs of information.
The answer the Ea sought was 42.
Per the story from the quests with the Ea, for most part their only drive forward is to re-attain a physical body so they can end themselves with death, as they cannot officially die as they are.
I think the Necropolis is a nod to Douglas Adam’s book: The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. You can also answer “42” at one quest in EW
I really hope deltascape and signascape are actual beings in the universe omega discovered. Them just being references always struck me as missed opportunity to use them for story telling, like the crystal tower or the StB raids.
