  4. did i just watch a guy who never tried the novice network watch a video of a girl whom also never tried the novice network relay to me a bunch of, even more random than usual, player experiences that nobody can vouch for and frame it as reality and are now cashing checks at the bank for it?? just making sure asmon's content has gotten as useless and disgusting as fox news as it seems.

    on a side note i tried this game, i really did, it isn't that good. there is basically no pvp worth playing, so idk man if you like warframe or something then maybe you'll like this game. that isn't a knock allot of ppl like warframe me it's a waste of time, not hard. ig you have the vr chat aspect of ff14 if you are lonely, but i'll pass

  6. Yeah it was a mistake to make an amazing mount reward for people to do mentor roulette a ton, at least with the current system. Many people going for it are just trying to min/max their time investment toward the mount, and get angry at sprouts for "wasting their time" by not using PF for extremes etc. And the mentors often don't even know the extreme fights and cannot teach them because like if they started playing during Stormblood for example, they likely unsynced all the ARR/HW extremes. Mentors should have had to clear everything synced that can come up in the mentor roulette.

  7. I saw your list of what needs to done to make Classic+ viable to you. I think instead of grand expansions that never live up to increasing expectations it should try simpler.

    What are your thoughts on doing away with factions in Classic+?

    Regardless of race, allow players to choose their allegiance based on geography. Remove the race war and turn it into a geopolitical battle for thrones. Instead of, epic, over the top expansions, trying to outdo the last over the top expansion…. draw it down to a single planet, in one time frame, and let the expansions be the discovery of a new continent, exploration, allegiances…governed by reputation.

    Pick your path….race, class, location, and career. Archeologist, Cartographer, Diplomat, Mercenary, Rebel, Peacekeeper, Bounty Hunter, Smuggler, Transport & Retrieval, etc. Make PvP and BGs relevant to the current season and the new war fronts that open up between nations.

    Strip out the old lore, and canon expectations, and let each season become the new lore for Classic+.

    example… give a crew of rogues in nation X, a 1 shot chance to fill a contract by their military. They need to accomplish a raid to slay their own leader, allowing their nation's military's a pretext to war with a neighbor… and acts as prelude to the next season. Put some 'one off' events in every season, so those showing up later, can only read of the lore that they missed being a part of that season.

    Cannibalize and reskin entire dungeons from retail, to fit into Classic+ and tweak them. Increase difficulty and allow for bigger dungeon parties in the system. Allow for increased party size to compensate for lack of a main tank… allow enterprising and creative players a chance to break the paradigm of tank, healer, 3 dps. Add enough new and interesting possibilities to explore, and it will succeed.

    Instead of burning out quickly with mass content dumps, followed by draught. Make it seasons with smaller content drops and shorter wait times in between.

    Build it for continuous playability over time, instead of the start and stop, do-over xpacs.

    And make it a regional server….1 character max/account. Never flying and never cash store.

  10. I came back for that seven-day free trial and was added to the novice network. Can confirm, weird as shit. Some people genuinely tried to help, but the number of Mentors posting and joining in on those kink posts was crazy. Left shortly after that

  12. I'm a mentor, but i left the NN. I'm only doing Mentor Roulette for the mount. But sometimes Extremes pop up in roulette so ugh… fuck Mentor Roulette lol

    Edit: Rather, you need to have had done Extremes to unlock it – idk if they're in the pool

  14. Just saying. You not need the Mentor crown to be toxic. What i am mean. If your real life you are toxic person you are in the game too. Let me ask you. Lets say i am a Mentor and i am toxic, i remove the crown from my name. I am not a toxic anymore? I say again. You not need the crown to be toxic.

  19. This reminds me why "nice guys" are the worst in these online communities.
    -Someone too horny? You laugh at them.
    -Someone too aggressive? You report them (and block them because most GMs don't do a thing).
    -Someone that offers you in-game products? You only block them when you've faced them before.
    Like all of us have been offered to be paid for pics, we've been followed around, told how to get better stats without asking for help and many other things. Most of us know how to refuse, but younger players think they're just "helpful experts".
    Haven't played much FF, but I'd prefer the typical "only mount" mentor than all of this.

  25. Well at least a sprout can choose whether or not to be subjected to the NN. Now those constant, intrusive, unwanted, pain the the TOTAL ass spam FC invite tells are another matter. 5 minutes after creating their character, just about every sprout starts getting battered into submission by these things.

  28. This was rarely a problem in FFXI- A-holes galore? But Not stalkers. I HAVE the answer for all of this. Myself? I play ESO mostly atm. I have BOTH Male & Female characters- And no Asmon, I don't want to boff my females. I'm a HUGE Tombraider fan, always have been, and don't care if you believe it or not? I'm the one that stated "Dude, I'd rather watch my girl fight, than look at some dudes ass all day"- People just ripped it, and then LIE, because THEY DO want to- they already stole my line, right?

    Now, Tombraider? HER? That's almost ALL I could think of… early on. But you grow out of it, if you're not one of these online psychos.

    So- the solution for stalkers, "followers", (MORE creepy than stalkers), and people who like to stand next to your female toon, attempting to hump it?

    ARM THEM. ARM THEM NOW. Shotguns, Uzis, Chainsaws, Hand Grenades, NUKES. If a girls getting harassed, she can drill the person. Down they go. Wasted. Bloody. For the entire community to see. And they are PLASTERED THERE, for say… 15 minutes. NAME SHOWING, (you can hide your name in EOS).

    Now, if they get "shot/blown-up" again, within a 30 day period? They get suspended from the game, AFTER being a 30 min. splat, on the ground.

    A third time? GONE. Forever. And they need to use IP addresses, the SERVERS, to the GM's or whoever is supposed to be monitoring the game, but they MUST be the highest level, a paid supervisor, whatever, to prevent any abuse- because THEY will face serious jail time, if they EVER out an IP address.

    Now, we also have to consider that some women just naturally LIVE, in a state of PMS, (don't like phrase? Too bad. Go cry to your mama, she can tell you it's FACT).

    So, if ANY player is caught drilling guys, for BS things? You get ONE warning, and a 5 day suspension.

    This is supposed to be a SERIOUS fix, for a SERIOUS problem. Now, I've no doubt adjustments should be made to my proposal, as far as "time" for both suspensions & "splatter"? But THIS? Would solve the problem… oh.. and they'll probably hate my weapons of choice. But it would ROCK to see this.

    I came up with this? Because some of my female characters had all this happen to them. I let the imbecile know I was a guy right away, and I went AFTER THEM. ALL DAY, if I had to- And it worked. Until I found "Mudballs". An annoying gimmick from an event. You hit a person w/it, and it covers them in mud- And it makes them stop, and make disgusted sounds, and slows them a bit.

    Me? I just took that, to the next, logical level. A guy just the other day? I hit with over 30 of them. I think I got carried away a bit? But it WAS fun, cause he started whining like a little bio-tch.

    But my idea? I believe would solve this asinine behavior PERMENANTLY.

    Because you're right Asmon- Women have it hard in gaming, in regards to idiots doing the above. We MUST create a solution for this, and one the damn developers from ALL games, will implement.

    I've been trying, but the pansies will come and attack my forum posts etc. because they don't WANT it to stop.

    I DO. And I don't CARE about their childish wants. I'd like to have more girl gamers, and it sure as hell isn't for me, I'm ANCIENT in gaming, it's for THEM.

    These Toilet-crust human beings? Are chasing out a LOT of good female players. It's time it stopped.

    And you, Asmon? Are just the person who could get this installed in gaming. I give my idea? TO YOU.

    Mod as needed brother. FIX THE PROBLEM. I already KNOW you care about it.

There is a difference between the cultures of games like WoW and FF14… See… I can play WoW and deal with degeneracy of people that just trash on one another for how well/poor they play thee game… But got damn, you'll never catch me playing FF14 because the culture that this game propagates with the overly sexualized weeb aesthetic it has is just beyond cringe… Sure you're gonna get people like Zepla that are all bubbly and happy and just want to enjoy and share the love of the game with others, but man… I just can't deal with the amount of incels that play this game… The culture is just so degenerate, even by WoW's standards.
