  1. Hugs Hyura. We, all, have been there. Yoshi P got us into Emotional Damage. Until now, I still ugly cry in this scene. Actually they redone this cutscene. From now on, a smile better suits a hero. RIP Lord Haurchefant.

  2. Woulda liked gun only class too. It's a shame they never made anything out of the Musketeer's Guild in Limsa.. They planned to, but never got around to it, it seems

  3. Lays a hand on your shoulder I'm so sorry, Hyura. Trust me, I know how you feel. Most of the player base felt the same way.

But please, Remember the words your friend once uttered: You must fight on. For those we have lost… For those we can yet save.

  4. "Babe, wake up, new Hyura just dropped!"
    "Ok, cool."
    "Babe… it's The Vault…"
"Oh. Oh no. Trauma stations, everyone! It's happening! Get the blankets and hot cocoa!"

It's always important to stay hydrated. It helps us to replenish our tears. 😭

  5. We all had to go through this. 😢
He was a real hero. (but don't ever ruin your picture of him with what his character really says in Japanese, you will never see him in the same light)

  6. This part of the story is great example why I don't want you to stream MSQ! Because as soon as you would step into the vault chat gives you a 🙂 so you are starting to speculate what is a big change that is going to come next. But this completely caught off guard experience is what makes FF14 story so special as a first time player.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times I see that cinematic, I still tear up a lot. The outro tho, lmfao you crack me up. They were such fitting lyrics alright.

  7. Aaaand here we go.
The moment I realised I wouldn't find any game I would be more invested in is when I cried like a baby for several minutes on my bed after this dungeon.
No matter what, don't forget the boy Haurchefant, man.
He was the true Warrior of Light, we're just the replacement, carrying on his legacy.
    Hope you're alright, friend.

    Here's a sticker, for you, take it.🛡

EDIT: To this day, my character still goes to his resting place to pray and rest whenever she feels overwhelmed.
I don't RP much, but that is the one element I care about when it comes to my character's identity.

  8. My man… You've come so far. And yes, emotions are hard. I hope by the End(walker) the journey would have helped you embrace them better, as it did for me.
    RIP Haurchefant, forever best bro.

  9. I am going to blame my crying on the improved facial animations this time. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Thank you for sharing this anyway. I do feel amazed you were not spoiled for this, tho.

  10. Awww Hyura… yep, that's FF14 for you… It was a rite of passage so to speak for al of us… the first time we SEE that our actions, our existence as a hero can have real consequences around us, and can impact the life of anyone around us. Like life, this game can be surprisingly effective at making you feel things in a way you could never have imagined.❤‍🩹
There's a lot of back story/lore/ingame information about Haurchefant you can look up on internet, it could be surprising for you since you have the English translation.
Keep on walking, warrior of light, one step at a time🤜🤛

  11. Well played my friend. There are many aspects of the game that will affect you with similar intensity as this and it’s not always sad. I’m loving that you’re diving in with your whole heart. Take a little breather! Drink some water. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

  14. My man setting up death flags for every character…

The Vault hits us all, and it doesn't get easier upon re-watching it. But we must forge ahead, for a smile better suits a hero.

  15. Me seeing "THE VAULT" in the title: 👀
me at 2:10 : aw shit

That scene is supposed to hit you hard, and it did. I am very glad though that you did not get spoiled on it! And now, every time you get The Vault in duty roulette, and that "One or more members of your party have not completed this duty" message pops, you will Know what they are in for. RIP to a real one.

  16. tbh half the reason I recommended running the dungeon with npcs is so you could have one last adventure with Haurchefaunt, since that wasn’t an option when many of us first experienced it. It’s also a genuinely visually stunning dungeon so that recommendation to explore and gawk was legit. But also had ulterior motives

Glad you got to read the notes in Dusk Vigil! Ser Yuhelmeric was a Conjurer’s quest NPC in 1.0… so to see how far he’s fallen in the wake of the Calamity.. 😭

  18. When you said in one of the previous parts how much you like Haurchefant, I thought "OH NO… I cannot wait for him to reach the Vault.."

but hey, welcome to the Emotional Damage XIV, it will most likely not get better 👍
