Actually it doesn’t take 4 hours, I have 3 Alts and I got one of them to shadow bringers and the other to endwalker, skipping cutscenes and not doing any side content it takes 16 to 24 hours an expansion, 24-32 with postgame
I usually play 8 hours a day, saving my Days off to do so, and it takes me 2-3 days to do so, and one day for post game
Btw nothing that has todo with anything of the video but actually ultimates make me love ffxiv even more only cleared uwu tho and got to phase 4 in Ucob I ended up playing scholar as main through that and also cleared uwu as my very first savage and ultimate raid experience also gotta say I used to like lynx but omg the takes he made made me dislike that guy *edit : also that being said I am still quite anxious about doing something wrong when raiding and stuff, I really love raiding tho if I had more time and if I wouldn't be anxious about doing "mistakes" (even tho mistakes are human) I would definitely go and raid more
Lynx Kameli Ladys and Gentleman. Or better called "Mr On and off" every year Hes doing a "I quit FF14" Video to stay relevant to Youtube. Then coming back after a Time before quitting again. His recent Video is just for the Clicks and nothing more.
"Cross-class incentivising other jobs" no it didn't. lets not play that people didnt "try" the jobs they suffered through them until hitting the required level and then dropping them.
The rose-tint on these glasses is so opaque you might as well be blind
"Who is this game made for?" asked the salty mythic raider, blissfully ignoring literally all of the FFXIV story telling that everyone plays the game for. This dude is 24 years old and he's somehow managed to reach peak elitism over a game he doesn't play, and also has a severe case of boomer brain. I hope he sees your reaction. God he's dumb.
Pyro's take after the video was done was kinda based.
should check out Arthars take on this too ….
im leaving this extract from his twitter right here, because its sad pathetic and slightly hilarious

If I play again in the future I will just make a new character. I deleted my character because I enjoy my privacy and feel weird about being recognized in game. A name change doesn't help because your lodestone ID & url stay the same. I don't mind restarting progress 🙂
Mofo deleted his character so nobody could catch him over his extremly mean spirited takes and attacking innocent creators
It's really an enigma how can someone play for 12k hours and have zero idea of what kind of players there are and that some content is dedicated to these groups as they are formidable % of the playerbase.
Anyway you can't take someone seriously about 'future for the good of the game' when they've deleted their 12k hours character they've not touched in 2years. There is a huge difference between deciding to stop and leave it as it is and actively burning down any bridge to possibly return.
Few years ago i quit Destiny 2 with my 2k hours character but i never deleted them, why commit to never return. When you choose to do hard reset of your account you immediately give up any rights to talk about future of the game. You've boarded a one way train never to return.
I designed a card game, Shadowrift. The first draft of the game included a mix-and-match system where you'd grab multiple monster factions you were fighting against at once. This game would be undead, dragons, and storm spirits, or whatever.
The reason that mechanic was present was entirely because it was in another card game. I ended up removing it because it was too difficult to make a faction with a unified identity, and on the other side when you were only facing one faction at a time I could have some cards that would set up the faction's combo and others that would capitalize. It was great.
All the examples he gives for removed mechanics can be traced back to the same faulty design premise as I made with that first draft. Allocating stat points when leveling was a classic, so they included it…but "being a classic" didn't mean it had a reason that carried into this format. Having cross-class skills was a big deal in a lot of games in the ten years leading up to ARR, but required grind in, let's be real, the worst twenty levels of the whole leveling experience.
There are others he didn't mention, like the design of Thousand Maws that was very much Classic WoW Style (the chance to explore means the chance to get lost!) because FFXIV didn't have its own identity as firmly nailed down yet.
In all these cases there's a common thread of using the thing that was big in the industry in the space by default, and removing it because it wasn't as much fun, or because on figuring out the game's identity they decided the old way didn't match the new hotness.
I don't like that guy, he needs to get some life experience away from a computer for a few years then come back and enjoy these games for what they are, entertainment … that's it.
I'm in the club scene on the rp bit, the irony is that you will always see ultimate raiders in the clubs, I see them all the time. it's almost like people don't fit into one box or another
I think the best part about this whole thing was he came out saying the community was "seeing the cracks" and I felt like the hard core raiding scene would have his back. In reality, no one had his back. Lynx is getting dumped on by everyone.
The homogenization of all the classes made me- a ‘roleplay main’, as he calls it- actually interested in trying to raid, but its people like him who keep me from actually wanting to try.
I hope he realizes how much of a child he sounds like and takes time for introspection, and realizes that he’s the problem.
This is the voice of a person who got hurt somewhere and needed a way to vent. Probably got kicked out of an ultimate group or something. Get mad at the player, not the game, bro.
Lynx is a pessimistic little man baby. He's got more salt than the lochs 😂 so glad lynx left we don't need someone like him in our game. Good reaction pyro.
those attribute points were literal dogshit when it was out. I played ARR when it came out, those stats (along with race stats) literally mean nothing. It was just an extra layer of crap to manage that ruined the gameplay for a LOT of people. Literally nobody liked it and nobody misses it. The fact he brought it up at all means he's just complaining for the sake of complaining because he wants something "hard". Go play a harder game then. And then wonder why nobody else but you plays it. It's really just that simple. Players do not like insane difficulty in mmos. Nobody likes grinding their life away for garbage that becomes useless next patch. Nobody likes new buttons being added and literally having NO WHERE TO PUT THEM.
The reason the burst window even exists at the same time as everyone else is so that there's party synergy. That's it. Nobody wants a dancer weave when you're not in your class's specific burst window. Nobody wants a dragoon's eye either if you're way off from your burst phase. It's literally pointless. The guy is literally complaining to complain and lost the plot halfway through. The class sync of 60s – 120s burst cooldowns was literally asked for BY THE COMMUNITY enlarge. He's complaining about stuff that literally made the game not fun for a majority of people.
Lastly, speaking as a healer main who has played all 4 healer roles – I do not miss the damage bloat they had. It meant nothing. It was more stuff to manage and it usually fell off due to the unforseen "Human Error" of players fucking up mechanics and needing to heal more. Cleric stance, too, was literally the WORST. And as a Samurai main? I use to hate that Kaiten was gone. I really did. But when I took the time to fight through my muscle memory of removing kaiten from memory it really was a useless ability. Do not miss it and I am glad it's gone.
The dude's a clown, fr. He knew he was gonna get flamed for the video and it fits. He literally has no idea what he's talking about other than pulling an ascian "the old stuff was better" memes without having actually played the recent stuff to see how it's really changed for the better. also, as a vet who's played for 10 years…yeah, no. I don't care for the changes, I am happy playing the game and im never going to quit. I've done everything i wanted to do and if I get bored I play something else. Easy. I come back whenever I want, Yoshi P even said for people to take breaks and just enjoy it.
Dude spent 12k hours and only did 20% of the game 🤣
I'm not even done with the video yet but the take from Lynx saying "..Who plays one hour a month and spends that entire time crying because the pixels on the screen said a sad word?" It irks me. I had never played a game prior to 14 that made me cry as much as this game did. Especially 5.3 is where I balled and cried because of what happened.
Not everyone has to enjoy 14 for the story. If you just enjoy raiding, then raid. But don't complain and make fun of the people because other people only play the game for the story. I think there is a part of this game for everyone. Hell, even the person who played 14 for ONLY mahjong.
This boy was having a tantrum and believed that SE would listen to him. He is so ego-centric that it's all about "me, me, me", "I, I, I', "my, my, my" Because if the game is not made for him, then everyone else who is enjoying it is wrong. Because he is apparently the only type of player that is acceptable. He's the type of person who will shun away any other if they cannot do what he says. And that is a sad sad life.
